Content Locking - Facebook?

I have a (currently unpublished) website where you can watch free online movies. It's not going to have any advertisements on it for a while. All I ask is if people will optionally like, follow, or share the page in some way on Facebook/Twitter. But then I thought of content locking. I'm pretty sure you can lock your content to where people have to like, follow, or share your page before getting to what they want. I know a lot more people have a Facebook, so I would just require them to like and/or share on only Facebook. Anyways, do you think that's a good idea to getting the website really popular or do you think it may just make people exit the site? Good idea or bad idea? Why? (And if you know of any good websites that have Facebook like/share content locking, please link me.)

Seems like you'd make more money locking a CPA email sumit and using fb on the side maybe with some Fiverr gigs. The Adsense money wouldn't make up for the CPA money. And once you get it promoted on fb then they would still have to do the CPA offer as well.

That's probably what I'm going to do if/when the site gets popular.
But, for now, I want to keep it a simple and ad-free website since that will probably keep visitors coming back.
Plus, it's not very efficient, because I'm still coding it. First, I just want to get it out there.

What I want to do is:
- Add a like/share content locker to hopefully get the website popular.
- Continue updating and improving the site. Making it better.
- Then, when it's a lot better and getting plenty of traffic, I'll add a few advertisements.

You can also make and upload a few videos on youtube to get traffic! And use a content locker on your website with a simple email submit. You will just be losing money by using only like/share content locker. You can always get extra new traffic from youtube.

But shouldn't I get the website popular before adding a bunch of advertisements?
And wouldn't advertisements interfere with the popularity growth of the website?
