Whats up everyone. I want to get everyone's opinion on something. Do you think you can rank a site with just content alone? I have seen people say they have ranked without any backlinks or anything else but pure material. My question is, if you are consistently generating fresh, relevant content, do you think in time that's all you may need? This is obviously opinion based. No truth to the matter.

Yeah CONTENT is the backbone of your website :)

Keep update the up to date trendy user enhanced contents to get ranking naturally!!!

I think if you constantly post an unique content in micro niche, then your website will be ranked in top 100%

I have bookmarked few very good blogs who have been writing for years, constantly, awesome content, informative, long etc. They are real enthusiasts and they are not building links. Yet they rank shit. They have 1,5mil words and yet, they have traffic only from social networks. They have biggest guides on the internet, but they main keyword can't be found on google almost at all. Because of no links. So I would say no, content does NOT matter ;) Especially if it's amazon niche site.

Yeah, this is for my own consulting business. I am following the siloing techniques linking in/ out. We'll see, its a large niche but the KW volumes are surprisingly small for the KW I am targeting. Comp sites look like trash, so I hope to scale above them quickly.

How good is your onpage? I'd say check that first, that is where to start out.

I own a bunch of site and I'm doing pretty well by now ... I've been putting time in link bulding for some websites, but haven't done anything special for my real money makers (except buying expired domains, good internal linking and silo structure). So from my experience link building is certainly worth it if you can afford it but your site will rank without it if your content is good enough and if you target long tail keywords.

With over 500 metrics that the search engine considers when ranking your site, if the keyword that you are targeting is a hard one, I do not think content alone will be able to get your site on the first page.
You can definitely rank easily for those easy keywords, but I doubt it will work for medium-hard keywords.
For mid-high range keywords, not only you'll need good content that can engage the visitors, you will need some good links referencing you back. Social signals is a must - not those fake signals, but signals from profiles that have a large circle of friends.

I agree, content won't be enough alone to rank for any kind of keyword with decent traffic. You'll need to invest in offsite seo.

Hi, Javon. I can say yes to this. We've been writing content for a private company that offers investment consultancy services (stock market) since 2014. The company has not invested a single centavo on backlinks. We've focused on on-page SEO and high-quality content. If you will search for "daily stock analysis," "stock portfolio rehabilitation program," "stock market courses," etc, you'll find their

Depends entirely on your competition. If they have links and you don't, and it's a commercially valuable niche? Then probably not.
However ranking for long tail and extended keywords even in quite valuable niches is almost always possible with content. You just need to find those long tails and craft the right content and site structure around them.

So the answer is "You can sometimes." That's not a cop out, that's the way it is. :)

it can be ranked only on content - but it won't rank much higher than it could with using all other tools and tricks.
and you might be rank lower than website who has weaker quality than yours.

Content is not the most important, but it is a great possibility to attract your website's visitors. I think if you want your site really popular, you really need this.

See whenever a page / site is ranked just because of content - it is not the actual case and it is the case of:

Proper on-page SEO from Meta Tags to H tags, Keywords / LSI Keywords, Alt tags, Image optimization and other minificatoations

Responsiveness of the site / page: Mobile Responsive

Page Loading time: How fast it loads when compared to the sites which are competing for the particular keyword

Rich Snippets / Schema

Social signals to that particular content: you can check that particular page's behavior on social platforms

And it includes all those metrics - "But the rewards are looks like CONTENT ALONE"

The idea is that you want people to refeer your content naturally.
And all of the statements above. Comercial, competition ,etc etc etc. The short answer is yes on noncompetitive keywords. The long answer, it depends.
As someone who got his free, no linkbuild, no seo, no nothing, on the 1st page on 1st position, in google search, and it just sits there, with 3 posts, on a nonmonerizing keyword. Quallity is king, quantity is queen. The rest are sacrificial pawns. If you intend to monetize, wel... pauns have theyr uses.
