Hello
I have come across a two word domain for which the .com and .net are being sold for a "premium". However the .org is available for the normal cost.

Are there any strict rules/implications for buying .org or it is just worthless from the SEO point of view..against com/net ? I wish to run an ecom store on the same.

Any help by veterans on this will be highly appreciated

it doesn't matter, i have ranked with .88 cents domain names before. and am a freakin noob.

Basically .org is used for organizations. Basically non-profitable entities. Now the restriction is removed and you can use it for school, colleges, communities and small companies too.

As you would like to run the e-commerce store, I would suggest, go with the TLDs other than .org. That will be more helpful for your site.

a .org is good for an informational website, it adds a level of credibility, not like besttoasters.org
maybe something like dietlessons.org

Look at the credibility of that! enormous :D

Also make sure the .com isn't a trademark. Something TRADMARKED.org is sure to bring you trouble in the near future, soon as the site gets seen.
