[Confirmed] Google Docs Scans Your Document Content

I know this will seem obvious to many, but assumption and confirmation are two different things. There is now complete confirmation that Google scans your documents for more than just providing data to help you out.

A bug has revealed that Google is scanning your content for TOS violations. Before, people used to defend Google saying that they have better things to do than track down your crappy PBN that you're storing in Google Docs. Maybe they don't. Now, I'm not trying to clickbait anyone here. This article does not come out and say they are looking for blackhatters, it just indicates that they do in fact care about the content in your documents. Perhaps they're only concerned about criminal behavior, but why leave it to chance? I've been getting everything I can off of Google servers. Anyways, have a great night everyone!

It makes sense, hence why I never put anything delicate on google docs. Usually just basic plans and basic parts of my projects. Anything that means something to you needs to be kept securely, and a password doesn't make anything secure.

Ive been selling google adwords vouchers in past (around 2012). I was sending to my clients 1-2k vouchers in 1 mail, every voucher was $100, so every email to my client was $100000-200000 loss for google.
I was using gmail, i was sending at least 1 email a day so $100-200k loss for google per day...

Google didnt ever disabled any voucher i sent to my clients.
Now do you think google will give a fuck about any pbn?

Im sure google is scanning emails/documents and is looking only for content that actually may break law (pedophilia, terrorism etc).

Mentioning PBNs and black hat SEO, my assumption is that Google can easily kill PBNs; but they rather build their AI to do so than launching animal updates every now and then.

I'd agree with that. Probably more effective and harder to nail down the cause of the takedown.

FYI, google has an assumed 57,000 employees. You dont think there's a team that could be put on a task like this? Best to be paranoid in a situation like this, and overly cautious. Like we said in the infantry, "I'd rather have my guns and not need them, than need my guns and not have them."

Hmm, I always thought people were being paranoid with the whole don’t use gmail rhing. But now I’m not so sure.

Seems possible now that they could look for anything type of tos violation and as said above, even if they aren’t looking for pbns now, doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t, as soon as they have the ability to reliably automate anything I’m sure they’ll do it.

Luckily I don’t use google email or docs anyway - personally I don’t like the whole browser experience - I’m old school and I like files, folders and notepad

Maybe that is relevant and maybe not. It's a different department.
