Complete starter looking for courses

Hello,

I have no previous experience in programming and I would like to start to learn how to code.

Could someone help me finding some decent online courses? A friend of mine has recommended to me to start by learning Python and has showed me udacity.com but it doesn't really work for me. I'm open to new suggestions, whether they are books or videos.

There are tons (and I mean tons) of course/online tutorial on youtube which is free. Even if the course is not good, you will have established a routine, and you thinking will adapt.You wont get to know everything from start, not even 2nd, 3rd time, but you will lay a foundation.

Since you here, there are udemy (for free) course as well.

open.appacademy.io > Free Plan (this is a full-stack plan, similar to Free Code Camp)
 
It depends on what you want, contrary to what most people say, I recommend against udemy :) Development is one of the easiest things to learn for free, for every udemy course there exists a similar youtube course from people just as knowledgable. There are also specific resources depending on what you exactly want to learn.
