Competitor RELENTLESSLY destroying my website

so people are born shitty! utterly stupid people, why Neg seo another webpage trying to knock you out?

Explaining this to google will surely be the way and make sure you report the website url, but if you did any Blackhat, then don't even try going to google contact page, that's the easiest road to the grave yard for your blog.

Am I the first to ask - how do you know it's the person you suspect it is? I scrolled here but couldn't see anyone else asking that... it could be someone running a random test.
It could be a competitor that you passed 6 months ago that just decided to get angry... it could be anyone.

I don't support retaliating when you can't be 100% conclusively certain about who is responsible. If you can know for sure who it was, then it's open season, in my view...

Hopeful thing to do: Go ahead and start catching every link coming in since the moment he started blasting and start disavowing.

What I'd do since you're gonna tank: Take him with you. Mutually Assured Destruction. Scorched Earth Policy.
 
Submit a complaint to Google explaining the situation and disavow all the incoming spam links with the help of Google disavow tool.

Also, how do you do you find the bad links and eliminate them?
 
Offer your website for sale to the guy with the EMD. Offer him a good price.
Then bank for another month, while he believes that it is for sale indeed.
 
For brute force or kinda thing i would suggest use cloudflare and for the Negative seo you seriously cannot to do prettymuch anything to prevent, just wait for your competitor stop that nonsense or contact them if you know. To stop or you will file a case just try it may work

If the site is that important to you my only suggestion is that you simply start paying for Google Adwords PPC.

There is nothing wrong with doing so.

If this site is what puts food on the table for you then you should use PPC and you will always be on Page 1 position 1.

I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you. Unfortunately it is a reality in the current landscape and google is loving it.

Also - in regards to the brute force, etc, etc there are many ways you can secure your site to make this type of activity next to impossible. for example you can set up rules that incoming connections to a sub directory like wp-admin only come from a certain ip address range. by setting this up you totally eliminate any chances of brute force (unless of course in the unlikely event it is your next door neighbour and you both have the same ISP lol).

bull fucking shit so people are advicing op to destroy his competetor website because he did bad seo to him have you actually try to contact him to stop in my opinion negeative seo is something no one should do as its not fair to anybody threat him tell him you will report him to his local authorities
 
To stop negative seo, once a site is suspected of recieving negative links; there should be an option in GWT that applies a site wide filter, where from this point on you can choose to personally allow only the backlinks you select through.

if google implements this I will be expecting a royalty
 
DDOS his website, and tell him you will continue to DDOS his website until he stops hitting your site. I am sure he will quickly understand.
 
Trying to kill your competition using non competitive and illegal techniques is a bad business practice, but that is how things have unfortunately turned out to be.
 
You could give him a "friendly" blast, but it won't bring your website back. And there's little you can do. Documenting this situation in a case study and exposing your competitor publicly could be the way.

Interesting case. I'd love to hear how it ended.

The bottom-line is, rankings are a temporary privilege as far as G are concerned. You have no 'rights' to any ranking.

Paid or authority traffic which you have direct control over are the ONLY things you can rely on.

SEO is only 'safe' for churn and burn assets. Do lead-gen through satellite sites and don't bother ranking your prime/brand sites: use paid etc for these.

The important thing here is what to learn from this.... Will you rinse and repeat and maybe get busted again, or change your strategy?

Just so you know I have real experience here, I've lost a six-figure business through these kind of penalties. But I'm diversified, so it was just one kick in the butt, rather than an execution.

Live and learn bro'.... Live and learn...

...Get right back on that horse and find a different way round!
 
Achieving success puts a target on you. I rank #1 for thousands of keywords. I get new negative SEO attacks and DOS attacks just about weekly. It comes with the job. Don't quit. Take on one attack at a time and solve it.

Harden your website. Use canonical tags. Monitor crawl errors in GWT. If you do it properly it just makes your pages rank even better and makes you even harder to displace later.

If you know who it is and legal action is viable then go for it... In my case I deal mostly with attacks from India and China. Hardening your website is the way to invest in future growth and stability.
