Help! Will this guy ever get penalized? my competitor has been hacking vulnerable CMS sites and placing thousands of links off page on some super high pr pages. He has 3 sites that basically sky rocketed to spots #1, 2, and 3 in our industry. Now I see he has around 20 more pages coming up from nowhere quickly! Why is this guy being so richly rewarded for this? He has held tightly to these 3 spots for 4 or 5 months now. if this continues he will crush everyone and the rest of us will have to close up shop. He is ranking like this for All desirable keywords in our niche.

Will this person ever get penalized for this? Or is this just not a Google priority? Just something that's really bothering me today!

i wonder how you know that he hacks other CMS sites links.

If he buy High PR links, that is not really dirty anyway.

seems to me like he is just doing a great job and getting awesome backlinks... you should take notes...
do you have any evidence that he is getting the backlinks by hacking other websites?

seems like that dude knows what he is doing...

Because all links are placed off site using css rules. And pr's are all 5+ too high to be purchased links I think. Also museums, government sites, and Universities. Who would sell links from these places?

if you have enough cash, you will get the best backlinks(edu, high pr etc...), or maybe he has his own network... who knows?
if he is doing something fishy like hiding links Google will catch up to him soon enough, but i'm rooting for him! :D

Do you mean .edu and .gov links?

MOreover, did you check his content for his sites? if he is providing really good content he might get it naturally.

furthermore, you just can't tell how much money he has, can you? ;)

No. Content is weak. Site is only 6 months old. And there are literally hundreds of backlinks placed in source code of each page -25000 px to the left on thousands of sites. Mostly DNN sites.

burt4fun: Your competitor is probably not doing this personally.
They hired someone to do their SEO for them and that person (or the person the SEO company hired) is spamming by exploiting vulnerable Joomla/Wordpress sites.
I'm guessing it's these two since exploits for them are available everywhere.

Solution?

SPAM MORE THAN THEYY ARE - it obviously works in your niche :)
Beat them at their own game.

Warning:
Be sure to build quality links as well. When this spam stops working, the quality backlinks will hold your site up while the competitor will go down.

This is a dirty way of promotion, try to report to the google by their Report Tool.

Dafuck? -rep to you for being a low life snitch, that is a low mentality to have "if you can't beat them snitch on them"? WRONG gtfo and learn how to be better rather than a snitch

@OP: Welcome to the layer cake son, best up your game rather than complaining...

"No matter what you think you might know, we will always be 1 step, 3 steps, 7 steps, ahead of you. And just when you think you're catching up, thats when we'll be right behind you, and at no time will you be anywhere other then exactly where i want you to be."
