.COM or .NET??

go for .com or you end up building the value and leaking traffic for the .com. You might end up paying way more for it later. Or go for another domain name if you can

General visitors are always aiming for .com. Atleast that’s what I saw with most of them.

For branding pick your extension based on your target audience:

Baby boomers - com .net .org
Millennials - .com .net .org .co .io .shop .club
Generation Z - .gg .wtf

Baby boomers are used to .com ... Generation Z doesn't really care as they are fine with new extensions. Millennials are fine with the most popular new exts.

continue looking for .com also use namemesh or leandomain search to generate a .com name

If you don't have any purposes for creating anything commercial related through the websites, you will not have an issue when going with .NET. You can still create a store or a commercialized website on a .NET. But it would be a little odd. SEO wise, it won't make a difference.

The .com domain name indicates a commercial site. This can cover business websites, websites that want to make money online, personal websites, blogs, portfolios, and more. On the other hand, the .net domain name extension stands for network. It was designed for the internet, networking, and email service providers.

.com in general looks more trustable but 2 words .net domain sounds professional as well. Extension doesn't matter for rankIng, some of my new xyz, biz, me, info domains are ranking in just 7-14 days, no sandbox issue.
Thanks i was confused about whether to switch my newly made website from .ONLINE to .COM, I think now i got the answer thanks again

It's not even about looking trustable, most people just assume the ".com" as the default.
So if they only remember the site name, they usually try *sitename*.com first.
