I think that the member downloads section should be made private for X number of posts and time spent on the forum, or focus on the JR VIP version.

I say always have a very general section open to everybody, then either require a certain amount of posts or an invite to get into more private sections like downloads, cookie stuffing, cpa, etc. Perhaps ONLY have a general section opened to everybody.

This is also a good point.

I would also not be opposed to a membership fee, but I think as mentioned before, BHU members should get free access. I also feel that an annual fee may be the best way to go, or at least offer it as a cheaper option to existing or contributing members.

I know it will hurt some people but I don't want this to turn into DP, where nothing can even be shared without instantly being saturated.

Closing it would be great, it would make more sense to people to add and keep things from posting to other forums. My vote is in!!

I have a feeling this is going to be a never ending thread. I like it though, It allows us members, new and old, to express the way we feel about how we feel things are going on the board.

I vote invite-only for new signups and only x amount of invites per month per user and one must move out of 'newbie' status in order to send invites.

I agree that the forum should close to new signups, Could even get rid of a few newcomers. But I do not think a membership fee would be fair.

I couldnt stay if there was a fee.

Can ya add a poll answer:
Close it off and no fee....:D

I agree with this one x2

too short

I also agree to pay for yearly not monthly. For new member invite we should have min of $10

i completely agree with this. you should just close it to NEW registrations but not shut out current members

Love how the member snuck in their post...lol... your still new.... NOW PAY UP.... :p

lol, i hope i dont qualify as a "new" Member. I give my shares whenever i can to BHW. I wouldnt mind paying at all, its just the situation that im in now. Especially because of my paypal problems :(

Well time to take my arse elsewhere-- its been real its been fun but it ain't been real fun-- Seriously this is too funny. I see no information here worth paying $1 for let alone $9 or $19. I come here for comedy to relax and give ideas to people who are new. I do pay for memberships and donate on other forums-- why because I believe it is worth it-- This place here outside of a few people (shouts-out to Harro, WizGizmo, havokb8, and shaqsquash) ever gave new people something to go on outside of making a profit.

Now I understand people need to make a profit and I understand that this post will either make me banned or will be deleted, but I don't care-- I was making money before I found BHW and I will continue to make money with or without it.

As far as charging someone for the info that is on these boards you have to be joking!
if 50k posts are posted per month there might be 5 worth paying for-- outside of that its a bunch of rehashed information. Grade "A" Garbage.

The community atmosphere here just plain sucks! People talk about other forums on this board like they are trash, but at least in other places a newbie can ask a question and get helped-- All most people do here is say-- "Use the search Button"

Use the search button for what? To find more posts telling people to "use the search engine"! Outside of that you will find someone bragging that they Made A Gazillion dollars, but they won't show how"..

SO this is my take on the situation-- Only around 10 of the people that checked the box and said they are willing to pay, probably can even afford to pay-- and 1/2 of that number only clicked it because they won't have to pay if it switches over.

$9 a month is not alot of money to pay-- $19 per month is not alot to pay-- Hell $50 per month is not too much, if the information justifies the spenditure.

I will check back here in two weeks-- If I still have an account here then cool-- If not-- I wish everyone the best of luck-- and always remember-- Information should be "FREE"
If not then you should be paid for your post contributions!

How about this: we leave things as they are with a couple of exceptions.

Jr. VIP: to get in someone ELSE has to sponsor you and pay for you. That member must be a Jr. VIP or higher. Cost for Jr. VIP membership: $10/mo. If you can't raise enough real support to pay for your membership, then you haven't given enough to the community as decided by the existing Jr. VIPs and up/ Max donation per sponsor: $.50. This keeps anyone from buying in their "buddy" or an affiliate manager and keeps the real cost low so that people don't balk at sponsoring a good candidate.

So at $.50 per sponsor per month you'd need 20 individual sponsors, willing to pay out of their own pocket, to get you into Jr. VIP. If you want someone else in, you have to pay their fee and lobby for them in the closed forum. I can think of several Jr. VIPs that I would chip in $.50 each per month to keep there and definitely lobby for. Many of you know who you are.

Exec VIP. Invite only as it is now, based on a recommendation from an existing member etc. Voting system as it is now. Naked sheep wrestling requirement as it is now.

This forum is incredible, and shouldn't be closed off. But if you REALLY deserve to get the secret sauce, someone else should not just recommend you, but be willing to shell out $.50 a month to sponsor you. As I've said, I can think of several members here who are Jr. VIP (and below by the way) who I would gladly support for the upper echelon with my hard earned dollars.

Also, Jr. VIP and up should have a "veto" power. Any thread or topic they think shouldn't be public should immediately be taken out of the lower echelons and put to a vote until a resolution is reached to make it a) unavailable and b) bannable for pushing. In other words, if you bring something here that a Jr. VIP+ thinks should be hidden it's immediately taken off the board and voted on. If you try to push it, by getting it downloaded or talking about it, you can get infractions or banned. Those members who share such things should be given consideration for entrance to Jr. VIP based on the strength of the share.

Post count + days + donation shouldn't be enough to get in.

In the old days, that was a great way to see who was serious. With 25k members it just isn't sufficient any longer.

That's my $.02

Download section should be subject to the above. If it's real gravy, it should NOT be allowed on the open forums. I have the funny feeling that cookie stuffing (for example) was killed prematurely by people with no fucking self discipline and the open nature of the discussions on this very site were part of the reason the method got beaten to death. Likewise CL. Likewise AC.

I'm not against sharing at all, but people with no discipline don't deserve the goodies.

hmmm In my point of view I would have thought less people the better! Though you will find that alot of people do get a great interest in comming here and learning all the tricks of the trade.

I didnt understand that reply, But again, if this becomes a membership site, then I feel we are going to be losing quite a few members.

I have given quite a bit back to the community as I have gotten myself.

I feel I am blessed that I joined this forum last week. I have been doing white hat work and web stuff for the last 10 years. I decided to sto all the boring white hat work and decided to learn from the dark side I am now hooked.

Learning what people have informed us on in here, I have found the information should be kept secure in some way. This information is way too public. A small fee could help bur getting the information out of the SE is the important thing

This forum has the real gems of info and I'd sure pay a reasonable fee.

If the other members feel you have given back, they'd be willing to support you, right?

It isn't about what you think; it's about what the community thinks. If you've offered enough that other people are willing to pay the dues for you to be a member, you clearly have caught their attention. If you haven't, then you need to contribute more to GET their attention.

I'm talking about high stakes here. Share the wealth or stay in the sub forums.

For what it's worth, I might not have enough support to be a member. I honestly don't know. But this question keeps coming up again and again like the fucking undead: "how do we separate the good from the bad?"

In my opinion, the membership needs to decide. The quickest way to find out if someone is serious about something is to ask them to PAY for their vote.

As I said, I would pay for several members here to keep their Jr. VIP status.

That's the level of commitment I'm talking about.

+rep is manipulatable.
+thanks is manipulatable
Hell even polls are manipulatable.

But it's a LOT harder to fake making a donation of cash on someone else's behalf.

Hope that helps to clarify.

I voted to close it and would like to see new members from this point on have to pay a one time fee and not a monthly fee. All current members that have contributed a certain amount should be exempted from this fee.

I say leave it open. You will lose the ability to get more and more talent. I dont like the fact that you would have to pay a fee every month. But, I am sure that based on feedback you will most certainly make the right decision. Good luck making this decision.
