How do you select the default category?

Do you have to manually visit each site first?

I have around 2000 Pligg sites in the database. Even if I only go after those with page rank, it's a lot of sites to go through by hand.

Isn't there at least some semi-automated way? Am I missing something?

Exactly same problem here and I have 1k sites :X

Guys, how is your success rate with this BMD?

I'm planning to get this one.

Guys, how is your success rate with this BMD?

it seems like it could be a really good tool but I'm having the same problem mentioned here and cant find a really good forum or guide to get advanced results out of it. :(

You could check out bookmarking coach, as it has 9 pages on categories! Hope this helps.

Bumping this thread. Any of you guys knows how to choose or select category in few clicks (tired of visiting each and every site and choosing category).

I want to know this answer as well. Does someone has the solutions. Thx!

I am also interested in this...I just added about 1K pligg sites. Anyway to add default categories to ALL sites, or any quick way to add them?

Under "Performance" in your "Settings" config screen, there's an option at the bottom...

"I want to use the first available category..."

Try checking that.

If you can't apply this to already added sites, under your "Social Bookmarking Sites" tab, there is a button named something like "Load Default Category." In the popup config screen, this is a bit unintuitive... you should see a search field w/ some pre-populated categories. Remove all that, so that it's just blank. Then, perform the search, check off all the results... then click set category button.

Hi seosutra

Can I get a copy of the bookmarking coach ebook from you? You can PM me. Thanks!

I had this problem and just found a better way to do it and wanted to share.

In Expert mode, use the "Set Default Category" option. Type in the category ideas, comma separated, that you might want to use, and hit go. This will bring up all the sites that have a category like that. Highlight them all and choose "Set Category". That will let you set more than one at a time.

Here is the video demonstration -
