Change Date of birth Paypal

So when I setup my PayPal account, I was under 18, so I lied about my birth date and put 1990 . I turned 18 about and I just noticed the wrong year, and I was thinking I should probably get that straightened around. I was wondering, if I contacted them about that, do you think they might try and like close my account or something? What are your guys' thoughts?

Did you transfer funds during this time, cause it could sound like a terms and conditions violation if they do the math and realize you were underaged.

Pull any money that you have in the account before you try anything. Paypal is quick to seize funds in these kind of cases. Best solution would even be to close that account and open a new one. But pull your money out FIRST!!!!!

As soon as you tell them you used fraudulent information to create your account you will be banned.

And even if you leave it light that, sooner or later you will hit a validation request and they will find out.

Better start making plans on what other service you will use.

That is not true at all. Not trying to argue, but I have 1 personal and four business accounts with them.

Withdraw all of your funds first. It's normal to request for a DOB change. You need to send an ID for that.

Not true at all. You can easily open more than 1 business account. Depending on your country it can be very cheap and easy to register a business name and get a company tax ID. I have several business accounts and I am on my second personal acc. Last one got banned 7 years ago. Perhaps after some time you can open a new personal. But business accounts are always an option

I do not think that you should reveal the truth to them as they may close your account. Better is to create a new account and use it for payments.

I was forced to create a new one. As per the date of account creation, i wasn't 18. They'll later on ask your ID proof.

they ask me id proof that the way that i know i create paypal with fake date of birth , but my account not in limitation

Withdraw money first. The contact support and let them know. If you're that nervous, say it was created by your parent for you and under their supervision.

They reserve the right to close your account and seize funds, so it is best to be safe and transfer funds.

PayPal will go to Court in extreme cases as in you created an account underage and you were unintentionally laundering money through it or something of the sort. I would hold off on making a new one with the same information. Have you given PP your SSN on your current account?
