I'm now at 51 groups. Each account is joining 7 new groups per day but sometimes the Admins will remove me from groups for spamming.


Today's stats:
30 lead ins
82 posts
99 hits to my website
10 hits to my offer
0 conversions

BTB replied to my e-mail with some advice (top man!):

1) Make the banner at the top of my article link to my offer, or try removing it altogether if I don't get more click throughs to my offer (it's a big banner).

2) Change the style of my lead ins. This involves taking out any swear words (lol), integrating my website link more naturally into the lead ins, and using specific figures to grab people's attention (e.g. $200 per day)

I have now amended my website and gone through all of my lead ins to change their style. The other 2 Facebook accounts are warming up nicely so I'll add them into the mix soon. I'm feeling more hopeful so fingers crossed tomorrow will bring more traffic ;)
 
Very challenging. Trust me, i would have locked up on this. Hope the game change for better now BTB is involved :)

Are your facebook accounts new? By warming up, are you commenting, uploading pics, adding friends and sending pm's etc? Just curious as I'm just about to give this a go and just wondering if I could just buy say 10 or 20 FB accounts that already have some friends added and automate the group joining before blasting them or just get a couple of accounts and make them look real....

Do you cloak your URL's with bitly or something or just paste in your domain and hope it doesn't get blocked?

Imagine how many times an article from Forbes gets mentioned in Social Media each day.

The page never gets blocked, because the links are spread between many people, it's not just 1 or 5 people talking about it 1000 times a day.

Therefore, the more FB accounts that are talking about something, the more natural things look.

Using Bitly or any URL shortener I have heard is useless, because FB follows redirects.

I can't believe the lack of traffic I'm getting - pretty much only 1 visitor per post! I'm also not getting likes and shares that BTB and other people have been getting when they post. It must still be a problem with either my lead ins, group targeting, or niche. Problem is I'm really not sure which one it is. I've tried varying lead ins, I've targeted two types of groups that I thought would interact with my offer, and this is the second niche/website that I've tried.

Any advice? I'm leaning towards giving this another couple of days worth of testing (trying even more lead ins, posting in new groups) and whilst I'm doing that setting up a new website for another niche in case it doesn't work. I'm not going to give up but it is getting fairly frustrating - I just feel a bit stupid not being able to get such a simple method to work! :p

A couple of things I can suggest that really work for me is firstly when choosing what you will promote make sure it has some real benefit to the user. Don't start looking at offers that have a high epc or great conversions on networks as you don't know how other people are getting that. Look at it from the end user and does it really benefit them then work backwards. It's almost like karma paying you back. A long time ago I was on slimming groups and sending links about the next miracle pill etc and all I was interested in was getting a $40 conversion. There was a lot of spamming etc and the odd sale here and there. These groups are used to rubbish like that. Also these get an "iphone 6 free" type of things are just rubbish. I doubt anybody ever completes all the requirements to ever get one and they are just collecting emails of people to spam the crap out of them. That's no benefit to your intended FB user.

The way I am doing this is slightly different on my landing page in that I have one article only. There is nowhere else for anyone to go. Either go to the link or leave the page, but the way I have written the page is very much like a tabloid newspaper. I make the article quite sensational in the way a newspaper headline is in a low quality newspaper. Although this isnt a niche have a look at a newspaper we have in the UK and you can see how it will get someone reading the story.

So mine is a similar idea in that my (news) website has seen this sensational story and is reporting it.

I've finally decided to ask some questions as big guys as BtB are following as well.
This method got my attention and i want to try it out, but I have some questions first.

-most cpa offers are only for a specific country like us, how to deal with it?
-what kind of niches are the most common, I Don't want to get spoonfed I just want to get an
idea of what can work and what not since I never evr get an idea of what 'newspaper' article
I could write. I'm most struggling with this! Since what kind of offers they would I just found
Rubbish thinks like iphone (cpagrip) I'm in adworkmedia cpagrip cpalead and adscendmedia.

Hey bud, I'm buying accounts that are at least 1 - 2 months old. On the first page of this thread I mention exactly what I do to warm them up but it basically involves everything that you mentioned. I don't clock my URL for reasons that Freddyjames has pointed out, and I also think it looks a lot more genuine when people see a proper URL.

I think the best way to deal with geo targeted offers is to try and go for geotargeted groups. For example, the first offer I tried promoting was US based so I would search for groups using "[state] + [keyword]" or "[city] + [keyword]".

It terms of niches I may not be the best person to answer this as I'm not exactly smashing it, but I would advise going for something that you think there would be lots of Facebook groups about. For example sports, weight loss, health/fitness, cars etc.

Thanks for this man. This is what's confusing me even more - I got excited when I came across the offer as I genuinely believe in the product and know it provides value (I've used a similar one myself).


Todays stats:

25 lead ins (new ones where I tried to use BTB's advice)
50 groups
150 posts
89 hits to my website
1 hit to my offer
0 conversions

Getting slightly pissed off at this point - it seems like the more effort I'm putting in the worse my stats are getting and I don't understand why. I'm also going away this weekend so won't have the chance to work on things.

New plan:


  • Keep my campaign running over the weekend on the off chance that I somehow get a conversion.
  • If nothing improves by Monday (highly likely) then I'll scrap this campign and start something new. I will go twice as hard by setting up two new websites (one using the current rebill offer that I genuinely believes adds value, and another with something different that I'll find on Monday) so that I can hopefully have twice the chance of finding a winning formula.
  • Get outrageously drunk this weekend.

Any advice or ideas are welcome.

Haa. I'm getting the exact same stats like you. Even If I get likes to my posts still the visitors are very low. I've tried a lot of stuff and the same results. It's very frustrating.
 
Rethink that niche and grab one that either:

1) Stirs emotions
2) Fills a real need
3) Has a broader appeal

Apologies for going AWOL on this - I moved sooner than expected and have only just had internet setup at my new flat. To add to my internet difficulties I've moved to a country that uses a different network frequency my current phone model doesn't support, so I can't even go online with it. My new job starts tomorrow so realistically I will put this on hold while I settle into my new job and environment, then go back to it with a fresh start.

The aim of this thread was to challange myself to get a working method before I went abroad, which unfortunately I spectacularly failed at. I learned quite a bit and will go back to this with the view of being in a better position to make money than I was last time.

I had a few JV offers for this which has confused me because I don't have anything of value to add so don't really see the point - I haven't yet cracked the formula to driving traffic. And without driving traffic I also haven't cracked the forumula to increasing conversions.

My Facebook vendor is EmailMaster. I don't use VPNs.

I hope you've had more luck since you posted this, but I agree it's very frustrating. Some people seem to get it right straight away with relatively little effort which adds to the mystery.
