To give you all my background, I used to do some IM while I was at university (PPV & CPA) and made a modest profit. Enough to be happy considering I was a student.
I've been out of the IM game for a few years due to getting an offline job, but I'm now looking to try and get back into it. To make things interesting I'm moving abroad to Asia in 3 weeks, and want to try and get somewhat competent at this again so that I can enjoy being paid in a currency that will go a long way towards paying for my living expenses while I'm out there (things are cheaper in that part of the world).
I'm doing BTB's Facebook method which essentially involves creating a fake news website with CPA offers on it, and driving traffic by posting the link in Facebook groups along with a "lead in" to hopefully entice users into clicking my link without it looking spammy.
I have a VPS with MassPlanner installed, 7 remaining Facebook PVAs, and 5 proxies. I'm using one account per proxy and manually performing random actions on these accounts to make them look genuine in the eyes of Facebook.
I posted some of my progress in BTB's thread so to make things easy I'll just copy them here.
This was from end of July:
This was from a couple of days ago:
Since then I have started on a new niche. I created a new website, put more articles on it and have chosen an offer which is a rebill. This will lower my conversion rate but the payout is much higher. I was hesitant to do that at first because it's harder to test the waters with something that is harder to convert, but I know that it is something of genuine value and has converted well for others, so should hopefully get some interest.
First day stats with my new niche:
This new niche looks a lot more promising as I'm getting much more traffic and also a better click through rate from my website to my offer (almost 25%).
Tomorrow's plan is to write 10 more lead ins but try to make them less spammy - I didn't think they were too bad but I was removed from approximately 1/3rd of my groups so I reckon I fucked them up a bit. I will also hopefully double the amount of groups I'm posting in, but this will depend on how many I get accepted into by tomorrow.

GreenHustler said:Just to update you all on my progress it unfortunately hasn't started as successfully as BTB's. I set up a realistic looking news website with a fake article as my landing page, and have run a small test of posting in 40 groups. I got 64 website visitors and 16 clicks to my offer, but no conversions. I'm guessing I'm not getting enough traffic either because of my lead ins, my article titles, or just my niche not being responsive to news based posts.
I'll do a second test today of 70 groups to see if I got unlucky with my first test but I'm not overly hopeful. On the bight side, all of my accounts are still fine and I haven't had any bans or verification requests (I attribute this to using slightly aged accounts and using them like a real user would with only 1 IP address per account).
Plan A: Continue with my test on a larger scale
Plan B: Write a new article for the same audience to see if it is my current article that is the problem
Plan C: Try another niche altogether
I will make this work, it's just gonna take a bit of testing.

GreenHustler said:I've been testing the hell out of this but think I need to switch up my tactics. I've made a total of 1232 Facebook posts in approximately 100 groups over the course of the past couple of weeks.
All of these have been in 1 broad niche but I've tried 3 different news articles, 4 different CPA offers, and 4 different sets of lead ins. I've only had 707 visitors to my website and approximately 88 click throughs resulting in 1 conversion - a total of $5.50. Basically I suck balls at this so far!
I think the weak link in the chain for me is getting people from Facebook groups onto my landing page. I thought the problem was my lead ins at first, but after trying so many different sets I think maybe I need to go to Plan C and try a new niche.
On the bright side, I've only had two accounts banned so far. I've been updating statuses, posting on walls, liking fan pages and newsfeed posts and talking to friends on chat - all these things are helping my accounts stay healthy.
Back to the drawing board! I'll post back with more results soon. If anyone has any criticism of my marketing plan then please feel free to slate me![]()
Thanks to all for sharing your tips - this thread is a fucking gold mine.

- Posted to 22 groups using 10 lead ins (I was removed from 7 groups by end of the day)
