To give you all my background, I used to do some IM while I was at university (PPV & CPA) and made a modest profit. Enough to be happy considering I was a student.

I've been out of the IM game for a few years due to getting an offline job, but I'm now looking to try and get back into it. To make things interesting I'm moving abroad to Asia in 3 weeks, and want to try and get somewhat competent at this again so that I can enjoy being paid in a currency that will go a long way towards paying for my living expenses while I'm out there (things are cheaper in that part of the world).

I'm doing BTB's Facebook method which essentially involves creating a fake news website with CPA offers on it, and driving traffic by posting the link in Facebook groups along with a "lead in" to hopefully entice users into clicking my link without it looking spammy.

I have a VPS with MassPlanner installed, 7 remaining Facebook PVAs, and 5 proxies. I'm using one account per proxy and manually performing random actions on these accounts to make them look genuine in the eyes of Facebook.

I posted some of my progress in BTB's thread so to make things easy I'll just copy them here.

This was from end of July:
This was from a couple of days ago:
Since then I have started on a new niche. I created a new website, put more articles on it and have chosen an offer which is a rebill. This will lower my conversion rate but the payout is much higher. I was hesitant to do that at first because it's harder to test the waters with something that is harder to convert, but I know that it is something of genuine value and has converted well for others, so should hopefully get some interest.

First day stats with my new niche:

    • Posted to 22 groups using 10 lead ins (I was removed from 7 groups by end of the day)
    • 138 hits to my website
    • 31 clicks to my offer
    • 0 conversions

This new niche looks a lot more promising as I'm getting much more traffic and also a better click through rate from my website to my offer (almost 25%).

Tomorrow's plan is to write 10 more lead ins but try to make them less spammy - I didn't think they were too bad but I was removed from approximately 1/3rd of my groups so I reckon I fucked them up a bit. I will also hopefully double the amount of groups I'm posting in, but this will depend on how many I get accepted into by tomorrow.

    My advice:

Find a half-decent email submit offer to drive traffic to and set up a 1-page pre-sell for it. The money is less but the conversion rate is high if the offer is something people want and you post in the correct places. Doing that should start some $ trickling in each day, enabling you to concentrate on the more profitable offers and expanding your site(s). It will also help with motivation, as when you see the method banking with one offer you know there's a good chance if you rinse/repeat with others you will bank with them too.

I will tell you right now from experience, you'll get to your target in less than a week if you get just one decent lead-in/presell page to an email submit offer correct.

As for lead-ins; try and make them interesting and use empathy when writing them - i.e What do your audience want to see? What types of offers are they more likely to submit to? What is their age group? (LOL and emojis work great for teenagers, not so much for 40-60 year olds) What sort of people do they connect to? What would actually make you want to click the link if you were in their position?

Spend 20 minutes writing down a list of things that they want in a notepad, then write your lead-ins incorporating the notes you have taken. I like to write 30-40 as I end up deleting half within a week because some attract negative comments, that way I know the ones I finish up with are safe and do their job.

Put yourself in their shoes and get into their heads. I have found my best-converting lead-ins are always the ones that have an "I know what you are feeling" kind of message or simply ask a question of your audience, without actually trying to warm them up for anything. For weight loss for instance, forget "lose 30 lbs in 10 days" rubbish for a lead-in, think "7 ways to make eggs healthy" or "is this a problem...?" types of comments instead. That does the job of getting them to your pre-sell, which is all a lead-in is really about.

On the pre-sell pages don't overdo it with your pitch. If your audience likes what they read and it isn't obvious all you are doing is trying to sell them some shit, they will click your offer. You've just gotta test with this as nobody will give you a magic formula. I spend the vast majority of my day changing pre-sell pages and testing/checking stats until I am happy with conversion rates.

After that, it's the cpa sales pages' job.

Good luck, and good work so far.

Cheers for that mate - really appreciate you taking the time to write out the detailed advice. I'll get on those lead ins first thing tomorrow.

My gut instinct is telling me to give this offer a decent shot as I genunely think it's going to work... but that's what I thought about my last offer as well. At the end of the day I guess gut instinct means fuck all without having the stats to back it up.

I think what I'll do is carry on with what I'm doing seeing as I already have it setup and my numbers seem fairly successful so far, but I'll take your idea on board as well and get another article written up with a simple zip/email submit offer. My accounts seem to be doing well so I can probably push them slightly and have them post to more groups to cover both landing pages.

I've been unlucky so far in that all the CPA networks I've got accounts with that have zip submits aren't cool with this form of traffic (Peerfly, Affiliaxe, GrabAds) so I'll have another hunt around and see if I can get some applications in with some more lenient networks.

I woke up this morning to find all 4 of my main Facebook accounts banned, so I'm going to have to start again from scratch. I think this was due to either joining too many groups (I was doing approx 40 per day) or what I think is more likely is that my lead ins were too spammy and I was getting reported. I'm sure that posting to 20 groups with 10 lead ins probably made this easier to detect.

    New plan for today:

    • Get my proxies refreshed, order some more PVAs, and start getting those PVAs warmed up so that I can post my landing page in groups later this week.
    • Take Freddyjames's advice and find an e-mail submit to start with instead of using a high paying rebill offer. Does anyone have any suggestions for networks that are cool with this type of traffic? I've been accepted into several and this morning finally got into one that is okay with it, but they have less than 20 e-mail submits and most of them aren't in any way related to my niche.
    • I then need to create a new landing page based around whatever CPA offer I choose.

It's a bit frustrating having to start again but that's just part of the game. 20 days to go...

Yup, as BTB said, single digits a day (I max at 5) - less if the account is new.

My lucky story of today: I managed to find a couple of aged Facebook accounts I had that weren't banned, so I haven't had to spend any extra money yet. I'm now just using two Facebook accounts for the moment, but will buy more when either these get banned or I need to scale up.

My unlucky story of today: Despite applying to several more networks I can't find any e-mail submits that suit my niche and country. This is the difficulty of trying to find offers that suit the website I've already made as opposed to creating a website based around an offer that looks good. If I can't find a suitable e-mail submit for my website tomorrow then I'll just choose a different niche, create a new website, and work on both websites at the same time until they've both been tested properly.

I've managed to join a few groups on these new accounts and have written 5 lead ins, so tommorow I will start promoting again.

    Plan for tommorow:
    • Post my lead ins in all the groups that I've been accepted into (should be a maximum of 10)
    • Keep looking for a zip submit offer that I can use my current niche/website instead of the rebill offer that I'm using.
    • If I can't find a suitable offer then create a new website with a new niche

    19 days to go...

{Zip|email} submits typically do not pay very well. They are perfectly fine for some testing but for real money that is not usually the best way to go.

Take some time and look around your CPA backend and see if there are some other offers that you can get behind that pay you a little better.

I would bet that you will be glad you did.

On the other hand, UBER Kudos to you for working at it and not letting little set backs discourage you.

That is one of the signs of a winner.

    That's very much appreciated man.

In that case I think I'll stick to my current offer and landing page for now (a fairly high paying rebill offer), and put my energy into writing some really good lead ins. I'm also going to make a few non-promotional posts in these groups to make the accounts seem more genuine.

On the topic of making accounts appear genuine I don't think I've previously mentioned how I first set them up:

    Code:
    1) Get images of people from instagram (searching on [URL="http://iconosquare.com/"]iconosquare.com[/URL])

    2) Upload a couple of photo albums onto the account, making sure that the albums are publicly viewable. I think its important not to use models or anyone who is obviously fake.

    3) Set the profile picture and cover photo to something realistic, and where possible related to the niche (for example, if I was targeting mother groups I would set the profile pic to someone holding a baby).

    4) Fill in the sections to do with work, education, location etc.

    5) Post in those "add me as a friend" Facebook groups that are designed for people to increase their friend count.

This all adds legitimacy to the accounts, so hopefully combined with good lead ins I should stay under the spam/ban hammer.

I'd say that the original method combined with Amazon or simply just reselling products from Amazon / eBay would make for great residual income methods. This depends on your niche entirely though.
