Update: Yesterday evening I created created 3415 comments with Scrapebox using autoapprove list.These are actual live links.
Today, this morning I checked the keywords "hemorrhoid symptoms" and found that it is now position 781. But again, the page which was being displayed in the search result has changed AGAIN!
I ran another Scrapebox list last night as well. I'm now checking links of 20k successful posts. I think there will be atleast 1k links from it.
Overall i'm quite happy with the results, we managed to reproduce what people see as a "penalty" in Google when they created too many backlinks. We learned that Google is switching the pages it ranks which could cause this to happen.
We will just have to wait and see if the site comes back strong and then the myth will be busted, at least for me.

I think the most common misconception about blasting too many comments at one shot is that they all get found the moment they get posted. Unless Google mysteriously found all the 3.5k AA links you blasted last night, your drop wouldn't be affected by them so much. At most, probably a few hundred would have been found in a 24 hour time period. At least that's what I think.

Update: Finished checking links with scrapebox for last nights scrapebox blast. 5476 live links were found.
So that's about 9k live links created in the past 48 hours. These are not all unique domains though so be aware of that.

Thanks BlueGarden, I know it is time consuming, but can you do a "check links" afterwards too on the posted entries? Just so we know how many links are being created.
I'm running a 400k list I just downloaded for free on BHW too. I've mostly been running thee free lists.
Just so we know, is this one of the free bhw lists?
The keywords are "hemorrhoid symptoms" and "hemorrhoid treatments"

Would tweets be of any use? I'm building a twitter monster right now, and tested it the last week (deployed 25.000 tweets with links). If there's anything you like to have running on twitter, I'll see if I can put it into the bot and let it work on it while I do the tests.

Interesting case study!
Can you confirm that i understand it correctly ... first off you had a site with some history and a few half decent ranked pages. You then spammed the sh*t out of the homepage with just 2 keywords. After time the homepage dropped to 'no where' but you then found inner pages appearing in serps even though you had not passed any links to them? correct?
