Yahoo Site Explorer only shows you have one backlink. Did you not do any blasts directly to your site at all ?

Great effort on this test, Gorang. For every 500 threads on this forum, there is a golden example like this one.
I had a look at the backlinks with my checker. Here is the display:
People disagree on the importance of page rank for providing in-links.
If it is an important factor, then there are not many quality links built so far, which may explain why you haven't seen amazing improvements.
The fact that only 477 links are showing up so far out of 33,200 can tell us a lot about what these automated tools are really capable of. i.e. they definitely build links, but nowhere near as many as they claim to.

When I check Yahoo sitexplorer it says 809 links.
Is that pagerank checker showing the actual PR of the page or the domains?
It is important to note that i've ordered these packages from various places, but they have not all been created yet.
The progress on Scrapebox is currently at 64,000 successful posts. I'm doing it in 100k blocks. I'll run a quick check links module once the first 100k is complete tog et a guage on the real post count for links.

Yeah I don't pay much attention to these things either.
Micallef, the links he is building are being built. Xrumer and SB can build hundreds of thousands of links if you want them to.
However the reason why only a few are showing is because they are not being indexed, especially profile links. If gorang is not going to any extra methods to actually INDEX these links at all, then he may as well not build them, in my opinion.
And the worst thing about social bookmarks is, specifically Pligg, is that most of the time you have to 'vote up' the story using another account in order to transfer your story from upcoming (nofollow) to published (d0-f o llow). This pisses me off greatly as you can bookmark the shit out of your site but only see it buried among thousands of pages of upcoming bullshit and zero chance of being indexed, and even then it will be no follow.
My own experiment on 'excessive' backlinking went like this: I manually made 200 useful, relevant comments on high PR 3-7 blog pages (not domains, actual page PR) on a new site and my site went up to page 1 (no 5) for a couple weeks. Then it went down into the oblivion (still indexed) and I haven't seen it since. This was 4 months ago. It's still indexed and everything but not ranking for shit. In yahoo and bing on page one.

I too would like to hear an update, although if its an excessive linking test its really too soon to make any true judgements on results at this point. I'd like to see something with a little more time, although an update would be nice.

Well, so far the history of this thread is basically this...
A few weeks ago I created some links + 20k autoapprove blast. The site increased in rank for a few days, then dropped to 50+ position, then after exactly 5 days it popped back up to the increased rankings.
Fast forward a few days from then and i'm now blasting the site to hell. The site hasn't moved in the past 24 hours, i'm predicting it will drop off the face of the earth again for some time. But the question is, will it bounce back?
We'll just have to wait and see.
We're missing out on article submissions, if anyone has AMR it would be of great use.

I would like to see what comes until the very end, as I am doing the same, except I use different approach.
But what I am curious about is how direct blasting (I'm using sb) would effect your site. I could not say more as my experiment is only 1 week and would like to see how it comes in about 1 month ahead. But, I see some movement in Big G.
The funny thing is that, the Big G shows my tags (not my target url) at the serps in most cases (but this needs more analysis).
