The new premium domain extensions have begun rolling out and like many SEOs I have jumped and began grabbing as many great EMDs and such as possible. For those unaware, these refer to the new DOT______ extensions available. Extensions like .Recipes and .Careers are live now and can be purchased from all registrars/sellers and etc, and I have picked a bunch.

One in particular I am going to be experimenting is the name of a city.the extension,
the extension is a word which is obviously over saturated, and the domain being ONLY the cityname.Theoversaturatedkeywordasanextension means that I am going to have a site that is essentially oversaturatedkeyword.oversaturatedkeyword
However it will be interesting to see whether or not I will rank naturally for the name as a whole, as its about as EMD as you can get.

To start I am building ONLY local listings and local pages/citations for my location and including as many references to the domain in the descriptions and titles of those links. I also will be pumping out press releases that are only referencing the location with the domain name as the anchor text, as the domain name is now essentially the keyword, and will see what happens in a week and then leave an update.

How did this thread not get a reply? How did it go anyway?
