Can't permanently delete or close my PayPal account

I need to delete my account because I couldn't complete my payment when I attempted to link it to Patreon. However, I plan to create a new account using the same email address.

You usually can’t delete it if there are issues on the account.

Make sure the balance is zero, no limitations, and all transactions are cleared.

Also, PayPal often won’t let you reuse the same email, you may need a new one.
 
u cant close it if balance or limits still there clear everything first then try. also same email reuse can be blocked sometimes so better use new one to avoid issues
 
I already tried everything. When I use my Outlook email address, my old phone number gets stuck.

So, no donation, no money, no PayPal, NOTHING. I'm done.

Fyi, you usually can't immediately reuse the same email for a new paypal account after closing one, so your best bet is to hit up paypalsupport directly about the deletion block and maybe prep a fresh email for your new account if you're in a hurry
 
You probably have a KYC pending in the account. Why not just finish it and use the account instead of opening a new one?

At that point, it’s probably tied to your phone/device, not just the email, try to contact PayPal support directly or try with a completely new number.

If everything’s linked to old info, it’ll keep blocking you.
 
Is your balance in the negative due to a chargeback or any open dispute? They won't close your account with any outstanding issues. Also, don't create a new account with the same email id.
