Can't access Instagram

Hi everyone!

I am having trouble with my Instagram account. Every time I try to log in to the app or website, the code isn't sent to my old phone number, so I'm unable to use my backup codes. I saved my Instagram code in the Google Authenticator app, but it did not work either. This problem is likely impacting my Telegram and WhatsApp accounts as well.





Additionally, there is no option to disable two-factor authentication, and I cannot delete or change my phone number in the Meta Account Center.




It looks like my Instagram account is probably gone for good, but I hope you can help me resolve this issue and keep my account active.

2FA issues have been happening a lot lately. If not resolved properly, accounts can stay stuck for a long time or even become difficult to recover.

In your case, since you’re not receiving SMS and don’t have access to the authenticator, you’re effectively stuck in a verification loop.

Try going through the official Meta support/help flow and clearly explaining the issue. Also, make sure your phone number can receive SMS (including international/short codes), and retry the identity verification (video selfie) under proper conditions.

If the verification keeps failing, it usually means the system isn’t able to match your identity correctly, which makes recovery more complex.

You would need to create another account and message Instagram through there and show that you cannot get access to the profile.
