Hi everyone,

Just a quick question: I'm on my way to start creating content for my money site, and I'm planning around 5,000 words a week (I have a copywriter). Would this be too much content and harm SEO, or would it make me rank faster? The content will be all very high quality.

It can only help, as long as its good content, varied and relevant to the site

Not a problem. Its a problem if you start adding way too much pages too quickly as Google may struggle to index them as it wont have allocated enough crawling budget for your website. 1 -2 posts per week? You can make them 10k words if you want, not a problem, at all.

Split them into more posts to gain more authority. The velocity of how many articles you are going to publish is important for authority.

This means:

3x 1500 words per week > 1x 5000 words per week

An additional boost for authority and link juice is also when you are placing internal links between the articles. Overall you will have a higher advantage if you split them, so they will have more than 1k words each

5k words is perfect. Very few spammy articles have that many words (that are readable). WPP (Words per page) is a very real metric used by the serps. Just make sure you use semantic terms to prove authority.

Why would it hurt your rankings? The more content you have the more kws you can rank for.

For as long as your content has a unique take on a common subject, and the quality of your content remains top-notch and engaging, then it can only be a plus. My 2 cents.

Content should be relevant to your niches and it should be informative and useful for the readers. as long as you publishing right content it will not harm SEO
