Can this method work?

Hey all
Before I start (as this is my first post), I have been here for around a week now and I have to say you guys are all awesome! I mean I can probably stand here and say I have never come across a free forum like this ever! Heck I am on some paid ones and even there you wont find gems like here.

Anyway, so after reading and reading and well basically soaking up stuff, I have a better understanding of things now.

I have an idea..I wanted to know what you all think and please excuse me in places where I know for sure I will sound like an a**

Well so my idea is..

1. Register for a domain (wordpress) since it is easy and I still dont know how to upload files to filezilla

2. The domain can be for the weight loss niche and Oh I have like 0.00001% idea about SEO

3. Then I can write different short articles about weight loss and a few great weight loss strategies where one can loss like 10 pounds in a week or so. Well basically stuff one would pay for he can find here for free. I can present it like that.

4. After reading for a few seconds and finding it a little interesting, a content locker will come up and he would have to fill in the offer!

How I plan to get traffic to this site?
I can get like SEO done on my site from fiverr or from Odesk. (Need your feedback on this too

Your idea can work for any niche is just about getting page 1 on google. the just of your idea is rank a site and place a content locker on it.

Sounds very tough as that Niche has been over saturated . Something on college students might work (Although that might also be over saturated) I know someone who did something on holiday locations and that was a little successful so you can try that .
