When I search for the term "Ghost Production", the first 3 websites come with few internal links below the main home page link.
And when I searched the same internal link on Ahref, I saw that the internal link "what is a ghost producer?" is actually ranking for the term "Ghost Production"

But when someone searches for the term "ghost production" the internal link is coming up with the home page.
It means it is actually helping the homepage to rank for the term "Ghost Production"

Can someone explain to me, how it is working and what kind of SEO technique is this?

Next time you need help, provide specific issue in the title instead of using clickbait

This is more about Schema and the most traffic pages in the website.

You can try with adding Schema codes.

Ahrefs will show all internal links, which are showing on search results, ranking for the term "ghost production" since all links are showing in Google Search Results. However, if you look at the keyword report of the domain then home page will be showing first.

1. They are sitelinks
2. You can try to get them by using "internal linking" but its upto Google what it shows or not
3. They are usually pages/links that people are clicking after entering your site from Google.

Yes I know it's a site link & thanks for the article but after a lot of research I have came on point that anything which is linked from the homepage will most probably get into the site link.

And alot of platforms are writing the main keyword content on subpages and linking them with homepage with the same keyword anchor text. So it's like they are sending signal to Google that they want to particularly rank the main keyword on the home page. And LSI keywords on the subpage.

Let me know if I am wrong

Thanks a lot can you clear my few questions? Why my competitor wrote the main keyword "ghost production" content on the sub page? And linked it from the homepage? What does this means? And when I am searching for the main keyword "ghost production" The same sub page apper in the site link along with the homepage.

1. He doesnt wrote the content on "ghost production". He wrote the content on "what is ghost producer"
3. Like i said, people might be clicking the link "https://www.edmghostproducer.com/what-is-a-ghost-producer/" after entering the site from Google. So google algo consider it a best option to show it as site link in SERPS

Really good answer, I am really satisfied with your answer. Thank you.
Can you please clear this question as well, One of my competitors is using this technique but in different ways.

1. Basically what he has done is created sub-pages and wrote a keyword-targeted content on the sub-pages which he wants to rank the home page for and linked that subpage with the anchor text as a keyword from the homepage itself.

For example, you can see in the below image, he has made 3 different sub-pages and linked them from footer with the keyword as an anchor text. 1. Ghost Producer 2. Ghost Producing 3. Ghost Production
Untitled design (8).png

Here is the URL he has used for all 3 anchor texts
1. Ghost Producer - example.com/ghost-producer1
2. ghost producing - example.com/ghost-producing
3. Ghost Production - example.com/ghost-production

As well as with this he also linked one more page from home-page, with anchor text as "read more"
eau de parfum.png

For this anchor text "read-more" he linked a page which has a content of "Ghost Producer" which is the main ranking
keyword. and this anchor text "read more" also have exact match keywords in the URL of this subpage, example.com/ghost-producer

I don't understand why he has created these sub-pages and wrote the main keyword content in those pages.
and why his sub-pages are not ranking separately in the SERP for the keyword, 1. Ghost Producer, 2.Ghost Producing, 3.Ghost Production.
Instead of subpages, his main home page is ranking for all 3 above keywords

Please help to understand this structure.
Here is the link of the competitor website - theghostproduction(.)com
