Can Monero replace Bitcoin in long term?

In my opinion, Monero has the potential to replace Bitcoin in the long term.

Bitcoin is no longer truly anonymous and is subject to strict regulations.

Monero and Zcash are the only major cryptocurrencies that are currently still truly anonymous and can practically never be regulated.

Essentially, Monero is today what Bitcoin was in the 2010s.

What do you think about it?
That’s really unrealistic. You may like Monero, but replacing Bitcoin is not possible.

Monero has stronger privacy than Bitcoin, but replacing Bitcoin is unlikely because Bitcoin is already widely used, trusted, and supported around the world. Monero may grow, but Bitcoin’s network and popularity make it hard to replace.

There’s no replacement for BTC, it has the first mover advantage & is pretty much the only real decentralized project out there.

Monero will never replace popularity of Bitcoin. But the interest of Monero can grow a lot. The regulations coming will make some interest for this kind of anonymous coin. I think there is a lot of potential for Monero

Replacing Bitcoin is another story. Bitcoin's strength lies not in privacy, but in its network effect, liquidity, institutional acceptance, infrastructure, and perception as digital gold. Monero doesn't compete well in those areas and probably never will due to regulatory pressure and delisting from exchanges.

Not possible ever.

1.Bitcoin is a bankers product pushed by JPM from the beginning and there are dozens of financial institutions involved.Bitcoin is fully under their control
2.Monero is a privacy coin which is not welcomed by financial institutons and regulators.
3.Monero is compromised as his creator has been jailed and coworked with MI6 to implement hidden code making it possible to trace in secret.Of course the creator denies it but everyone knowing the real world game knows what he did.
4.Monero privacy coin never worked for the US as they have a black profil system which identifies all monero transactions anyways.
Why is there no info or news on it ?Because that system is under current laws illegal

So the answer is a clear NO

Straight up, xmr definitely got that privacy game on lock for real, and btc isn't that ghost it used to be. But replacing btc as the top dog? That's still a whole another level, the network effects and adoption too deep for xmr to just step in like that

No, for various reasons, but the most important one is that governments will ban and have already banned Monero because of its privacy, therefore it can only grow to an extent.

Uuunnleesssss the creator cooperates with the gov to implement something that can trace back its users...

"Hi ChatGPT, can you please answer this thread like you're a young gen z user?"

Monero is definitely the king of privacy, but that same anonymity prevents the massive institutional adoption needed to ever replace Bitcoin. It's more likely they will just coexist: BTC as a regulated digital gold, and XMR as true peer-to-peer digital cash.

Crypto is not only just about anonymity,

Monero has potential, but replacing Bitcoin is a difficult thing.

Bitcoin still has the bigger adoption, liquidity, and trust. Monero is stronger on privacy, so it will probably have its own loyal holders.

Bitcoin may not be perfectly private anymore, but it has trillion-dollar muscle, real adoption, and everyone actually uses it for big money. however Monero is still tiny, gets kicked off exchanges left and right and lives mostly in the shadows where liquidity dries up fast. Networks win by size and ease.

BTC is already the standard. Privacy is important, but liquidity and network effect are what matter for a global reserve. Monero is what BTC was for the underground, but it won't take the crown

Simple answer, no.
The adoption of Monero is just not strong and won't be strong as it is with Bitcoin.
Adoption in Bitcoin will get it to 1,000,000$ until 2030.
