In my opinion, Monero has the potential to replace Bitcoin in the long term.

Bitcoin is no longer truly anonymous and is subject to strict regulations.

Monero and Zcash are the only major cryptocurrencies that are currently still truly anonymous and can practically never be regulated.

Essentially, Monero is today what Bitcoin was in the 2010s.

Monero will never replace popularity of Bitcoin. But the interest of Monero can grow a lot. The regulations coming will make some interest for this kind of anonymous coin. I think there is a lot of potential for Monero

Replacing Bitcoin is another story. Bitcoin's strength lies not in privacy, but in its network effect, liquidity, institutional acceptance, infrastructure, and perception as digital gold. Monero doesn't compete well in those areas and probably never will due to regulatory pressure and delisting from exchanges.

1.Bitcoin is a bankers product pushed by JPM from the beginning and there are dozens of financial institutions involved.Bitcoin is fully under their control
2.Monero is a privacy coin which is not welcomed by financial institutons and regulators.
3.Monero is compromised as his creator has been jailed and coworked with MI6 to implement hidden code making it possible to trace in secret.Of course the creator denies it but everyone knowing the real world game knows what he did.
4.Monero privacy coin never worked for the US as they have a black profil system which identifies all monero transactions anyways.

Monero is definitely the king of privacy, but that same anonymity prevents the massive institutional adoption needed to ever replace Bitcoin. It's more likely they will just coexist: BTC as a regulated digital gold, and XMR as true peer-to-peer digital cash.

The adoption of Monero is just not strong and won't be strong as it is with Bitcoin.
Adoption in Bitcoin will get it to 1,000,000$ until 2030.
