Hi i remembered i used to mine bitcoin back in 2009 when it was worth a few cent. i didn't know what bitcoin even was back then, so after a while i stopped mining because i thought i would never be rich from earning cents. i can't remember how many bitcoins i mined, but only recently i remembered that i still had the hard drive from 2009. i checked the hard drive only to find out that i used to reinstall windows from time to time, sso everything was gone.

Is there a way to retrieve my bitcoins from the hard drive?

Try EnCase Forensic Software. Isn't cheap though. If that software can't find the wallet, then the bitcoins are gone!

I doubt it, but it can't hurt to try some softwares to see if you can get it back.

You can also hire professionals for getting back data, but it's expensive and you still have to pay if if they fail (I think). Might be worth it if it's a significant amount of coin.

Block rewards were 50 back then. Imagine 50 BTC lol, that would be real jackpot. For that money, I would assume hired professionals would steal and then wipe the drive.
