Stolen article? You're likely to get negative results.

You can, but if you rank high with stolen articles then it's easier for the police to find you since they don't have to look on the second page of SERPS. So you better not steal those articles.

If by "stolen article" you mean an article copied from an other website, then no - it would get penalized because of duplicate content penalty, and your website would, too.

Why not hire a writer here on BHW? Some of them are really cheap. I was looking for a writer here on BHW and I got an offer from a writer who charges $1.5 per 500 words - I can give you a contact on him if you want.

Speaking of french and english I remember reading a reddit comment about a guy who was bilingual who would look up all his English essays in french and then translate them. Technically plagiarism and just as nasty, but you could probably get away with it.

It has already happened to me for the second time here on BHW that someone thinks I'm a Google employee. Funny thing, because I'm not. :D

So your plan is to steal an article and rank Google with it? Damn! Why didn't I think of it?

Seriously, though, it would depend on whether the article is previously indexed by Google or not.

Why not read the article and "improve" it then you can post it on your site.

    This is what I do.

It's perfectly fine to take someone's article, rewrite it, and source the original place you found it at.

It's beneficial to both you and your the site you took the article from.

A very sensible suggestion too. Rewrite and improve it - you'll get better results than just using it as is.

lol there is no such thing as duplicate content penalty.

I have had great result ranking with copied content, just give it a try. Most dudes here have no idea what they are talking about except repeating others people's words.

actually you can rank it but it will be risky because at any time you can get DMCA if someone reports you as you will be ranking with stolen/copied article then for sure someone may DMCA your site...
