If by "stolen article" you mean an article copied from an other website, then no - it would get penalized because of duplicate content penalty, and your website would, too.

Speaking of french and english I remember reading a reddit comment about a guy who was bilingual who would look up all his English essays in french and then translate them. Technically plagiarism and just as nasty, but you could probably get away with it.

I have had great result ranking with copied content, just give it a try. Most dudes here have no idea what they are talking about except repeating others people's words.

actually you can rank it but it will be risky because at any time you can get DMCA if someone reports you as you will be ranking with stolen/copied article then for sure someone may DMCA your site...
