Can I Outrank Gucci(dot)com?

Can I Outrank Gucci.com for a long tail keyword? (I'll use blogger with original content)

The long tail keyword I am trying to rank for includes "gucci" on it.
Example: gucci blah blah blah

Is it doable? Or will Google always give Gucci(dot)com the #1 spot.

Sorry to tell you this but google favors big brands lately even more, also what you're after is probably a buying keyword.
With the latest updates.. well your chances are slim to none.

Easy. Plenty of examples already in the SERPS. Go for it.

As the others have said, it can be done but Google now favours brands more than ever before. At first glance, you could see all the domains in first page have DA of 45 so will not be easy pesy. Again DA is just one factor, the page authority, backlinks to the domain as well as the actual page thats ranking needs to be considered too among several other factors. If all of them turn out to be mediocre you can go for the sniper...

None of the numbers in the screenshot are red flag so with enough persistence you could rank the keyword over a sustained period of time....

And well like some of the other posters, it can be done... but it will take persistance and determination

Nowadays, with the new google updates and its tendency to favor big authorities sites, for achieving what you want a lot of money needs to be invested in SEO (this is another way of saying that it is impossible or too expensive to do that)

Use market samurai or longtail pro to see what site is ranking number 1, 2 and 3 for your keyword.

If they have more links than you can build or afford, don't do it.

It's ofc a buyer's keyword imo, whether those SEO research tools and their father google agrees to this or not!

And in the serps, there are other sites beating the big ones.

That is only one example and there could be people in London looking for that gu.cc! extra large whatever sh!t...

A keyword is a keyword is a keyword. If you've the products (Brand ones at least) then there can be its buyers too -- may be plenty in numbers. Google isn't gawd that it knows all of them... Only thing is both of them (your whatever and those people who want it) need to meet some day, before someone else makes them meet his products first.
