Hello,

I am wondering if it is safe to add the two scenarios below to my email list and email then using my email campaigns.

I am running Facebook Ads using a free teethe cleaning for a dental office and in order to redeem the voucher you have to enter your email.

A user that enters their email to submit to a blog.

Thanks in advance!

Legally due to GDPR - You can only market to an email if they have given you permission to use it, only under the condition that you ONLY contact them regarding the same thing.

So if they've entered a deal about teeth, you can't contact them about furniture

GDPR only for EU countries. But, when you offer something but your LP is misleading and offer something completely different, your Ads will be disapproved anyway.

So if I obtained emails using the examples above, I could email the leads about how to keep proper oral hygen for the dentist example and how to grow as an artist for the music blog ?

I understand that, they were two different examples. Basically just wondering if people give you their email showing interest in your brand, other than the subscribe button (say for a giveaway, or voucher) can I add them to my email list

If the blog is related to dental website then you can use both the list.

Rule of thumb - personal emails and accounts. You can’t do anything unless they give and confirm approval, even then you can only promote or mention what they’ve signed up for. If it’s about cars, you cannot just add them to another service on your website that also mentions boats... they agreed for deals or news about cars.

If it’s b2b - do what you like within reason but in the UK we have something called a sole trader which is still classed as a person not a business
