I may be wrong, but from my experience blogs rely quite heavily on return traffic. If you can offer a service then the amount of traffic you can retain will increase dramatically. As an example, if your blog was focusing on Bingo then contact operators and try to secure a unique deal or promotion. This is not as hard as it may seem. Every week I create several unique promotions with increased first deposit bonuses for our affiliates. These can obviously be advertised quite heavily and presented in a way that looks like you are doing your visitors a favor. Then monetize the f out of them. Produce reviews, news stories, post to social media, build your numbers. This is just an example and from my experience works better than using straight AdSense, although it is a viable option. This approach can be carried over into lots of different niches as well. If not providing increased sign up bonuses you could provide information on the cheapest place to purchase a product. The scope is potentially endless and the money you can make will be far greater than anything adsense will bring you.

This is a great idea! Have businesses been pretty easy to work with coming up with special promotions? I might put a twist on this and use it.
