bypassing network admin speed throttling

my network is set up in such a way that every time you download/upload too much in a short amount of time your bandwidth gets throttled heavily.. i think the exact numbers are around 1gb in an hour and then throttled an hour to <200kbps down from 80mbps..sad... anyways, this is not imposed by the isp but the network admins here so vpn doesnt seem to do much good.. does anyone have any methods/ideas to circumvent this? i was thinking maybe consistent mac address spoofing but i'd rather use a more passive technique.. also i think they might have that one figured out

edit: in fact i hate this throttling so much that if someone can help me get around it, and it works, i will give them 0.1 bitcoins

I don't think that you can bypass the throttling. If there is a security hole for you to do that, many people will know about it and your ISP will definitely fix it soon.
