BUYING USERNAME PROCESS [HELP]

Hey,
So i'm buying a 3 letter username from a guy but i wanted to ask how's the process to avoid getting scammed. Should i tell him to change his username so i could take it? Or there are bots who will instantly take it before i rename my username to it? Or should i take his account? Any advice would be appreciated. The guys selling it to me seems like a noob too and don't know much about it.

But which is better? To tell him to give me his account with the unique username or tell him to change it? I've heard that there are some bots who actually grab usernames at the moment when the person changes it, Specially if its unique. And if i took his account will he be able to take it back?

- If you do this he might be faster and take it again with another acc and then tell you it's not his fault and that some random guy with bot took it.

There's a lot of risk involved mate. The best way is to take the acc from him, without making him changing the username so you can take it aka. better find a trusted middleman, but he'll still be able to take it back if he reports it as hacked or something ...

So i can't really take his username without any risks?
 
If it is a common word, someone already has the word on their turbo.
Get him to send you the signup email along with the account.
