Buttons or Text Links? What Works Better?

I know it largely depends, but I thought I'd ask - what worked better for you in terms of CTR?

Depends on the niche, visitors, website and hundreds of other factors. In most cases, buttons provide better CTR.

Thanks man - I am aware it depends on a million other things (like "how can I rank my site") - but the general rule of thumb is that buttons do better than text, right? - just wanted to make sure I am not twisting anything here
