Building a profitable Amazon affiliate site - the homepage

I've found a number of articles here regarding (easy and assisted) content writing and I've incorporated this into my work a lot. Furthermore, I've explored the traditional methods of getting traffic to my site sans search engine (social media etc). I've struggled, however, with structuring my homepage for conversions.

I've articles but think they make the site seems spammy (think those cheesy ads on the bottoms of online news). Furthermore, I've related media from oher sites. But of course videos are wide so I feel like many would click away before scrolling past them.

Is there a tried and tested format to maximise homepages for conversions. My 'niche' is far too broad to simply base of a well-performing site within it. I'd be interested even if its to get people on and off ther site ASAP to maximise indirect conversions.

How do you think GPT did here?

option 2) I do use chatGPT (its kindve where i was going with the assisted content part). Furthermore, I'm aware that I can just ask it questions but I'm interested in the human experiences of people here and what they may've done (including more unusal or introspective things found through personal experience).

As an added note I feel like chatGPT is less useful regarding BH topics as they often rely on small nooks and liabilities to market cheaply. Surely, with chatGPT analysing such large datasets, the system would just default to more standard (and therefore whitehat) ways of thinking? Vast amounts of sites will follow drab AI advice and operate monolithically with only backlinks to separate their rankability.
