Media can kill a business only if you let them. They are still money-focused at the top regardless of anybody’s views on it. Dare to push boundaries and something will have to give... whether it’s your job, theirs or your lives. Business is a risk you take to win.. no better feeling..

Do you really think they would ban coins for money-laundering? Do you not think most of the establishment has an investment already? It can be untaxable and literally works when you aren’t there - poor people will lap that shit up regardless of the electric until they’re told to stop

fair enough thank u

Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve. We have to trust them with our privacy, trust them not to let identity thieves drain our accounts. Their massive overhead costs make micropayments impossible.

Banks sucks. Bitcoin will sucess at least as Internet's money don't worry about his current price.

btc has been dropping rapidly since its hype in dec/jan...because of that hype banks caught on and tons of them are starting to ban and block crypto purchases. its a conflict of interest

I read somewhere it’s said that the lowest price of btc for miner continues to mine it is around 3-4k. So what happen next if the btc price come to around 5k you will see your btc transactions won’t complete. And you will need to wait a very long long time because miners shutdown their machines. The whole things will collapsed at 3k per btc. No transaction completed, it’s mean btc=0.
I mined eth with 2 vga and sold them a few days ago. After all I got $300 profit due to high vga price. I sold all my coins and I hold nothing now. If the whole things collapsed I will bought eth at the lowest price.

I think of speculation more as nurturing. Let me give an example of the benefits of speculation that is more tangible.

Price of farming production is dependent on many factors largely outside of control (weather, production on other countries, tariffs etc). The producers though would really prefer if the price was somewhat known before hand, since they have to decide on how much capital to invest **before** the crop materializes. A bad prediction can seriously hurt the producer. So here come the speculators. A contract is drawn between the hedger (the farmer) and the speculator that the farmer will at a future point sell the produce to the speculator at a locked price X. In essence, the farmer buys a stable price now by selling the risk/profit to the speculator. Both are extremely happy about it.

I like the analogy but feel it would be better suited to the futures or options markets.
People buy BTC at today's price because they either need it to purchase something (eg weed on a dark market) or they believe the value of the BTC will rise in future.
People sell BTC at today's price because they either need to liquidate bitcoin for fiat or they believe the value of BTC will fall in future.
The majority of supply is controlled by early adopters and miners, demand is being driven by the speculators.
Unfortunately these speculators are driven by positive media of huge gains made which brings out the greed in them rather than common sense.
Most of these speculators are uninformed and not really aware of the risks and jumping on the bandwagon because of FOMO, for a lot of people this investment is a total gamble and unlike a sensible investor/speculator they are risking more then they can afford to lose. When the stories of people losing significant amounts of money start getting published this will have a negative effect on the average investor.
The saviour could be institutional investors but I imagine the majority will wait to see how governments treat BTC and what regulation may be imposed.
Please forgive me if my point isn't clear as it is 04.00 here and almost time for me to hit the sack.

Again, just to reiterate, I am a fan of Cryptos and BTC but I can clearly see the risks and potential pitfalls unlike some on BHW, not everything is FUD.

Oh no he's really turned. This reminds me of a film I watched called The Faculty. I hope @Sherb and @Asif WILSON Khan don't turn too, or I may be on my my own.

Seems you don't know what a ponzi scheme is....
How the hell is bitcoin even a Ponzi scheme, people who invest in August or September it’s left would have more than double their money! It’s their fault, they didn’t sell.
A Ponzi scheme is good for old investors, however September was just 5 months before.
Clearly new.

Awe did you spend all that time on me? Must be short of things to do now your crypto has gone down the drain.

I gamble on crypto. Like I have always said. I ain't muggy enough to be live it's anything other than a gamble. Unlike our new found "expert" traders.

"It ain't been over $17 where i bought it" I bought over $17. $22 I think, which funny enough is over $17. Do keep up Sherlock.

ps. Bashing and trolling tards who now perceive themselves as pro traders because they bought £10 worth of Bitcoin, when two months ago they were here begging for "how me make $5 online" methods.

Fucking tards giving out investment advice like telling others "fucking easily 40k by February".
