Hey guys,

I have a question regarding a service I am working on developing. I can't make up my mind when choosing the domain name: go for a brand name of my own ( something funny but not related to the service ) or a good ol' fashion SEO friendly domain name that might sound a bit more professional?

Any input is appreciated, thanks :)

I would always choose an easy to remember name like godaddy dot com over a domain that clearly describe my services like cheapdomainnames dot com
But that’s just me, I would love to hear other opinions:)

Brand (userfriendly) is the way to go.. (There is no such animal as seo friendly domain anymore).

A brand name. It's simply because it doesn't matter what the domain is, you'll eventually get to the same point when you grow your website with enough work. And in the end when brand.com and longkeyword.com are both strong 1st page results, only one will stick with your business forever, if you don't choose it wisely you can't undo that.

Whit out knowing the seo part. I think you should try to find a name that describe the business and is short. OFC depending on what your business is.

but if you eg. would like to sell hats online. you could find a name like. Thehats dot com. They people can easily tell what your business do and remember it ;)

But that just my opinion :)
