Blogging isn't dead, you're just doing it wrong

Quick rant.

Everyone keeps saying "blogging is dead" and then I look at their sites and it's all AI-generated fluff with zero personality. No wonder nobody reads it.

What actually works:
  • Write like you talk - Stop trying to sound professional. People connect with real voices
  • Answer one question really well - Forget 3000 word monsters. Sometimes 800 words hits harder
  • Consistency > perfection - One decent post a week beats one "perfect" post a month
  • Have an actual opinion - Vanilla content gets ignored. Take a stance on something
Biggest mistake I made early on was trying to please everyone. Wrote the most generic stuff possible. Zero traction.

Started writing like I actually give a damn and suddenly people started sharing my stuff.

Blogging works. Boring doesn't.

You can embed videos inside your blog posts, combine both video and writen form. A youtuber with a blog will always have an edge over somebody without it.
 
Blogging still works people just ignore dull, copy paste content. When you write like a real person, share honest opinions, stay focused, and show up consistently, readers actually pay attention.
 
Right you are; I agree about this. If anyone gives effort to any blogging, at the end of the time it will give us the best output today or tomorrow. but we have to continue the consistency of quality posting.

Most blogs read like they were written for an algorithm, not an actual human. If it feels forced, stuffed with keywords, or trying too hard to sound “expert,” readers check out pretty fast.

What works imo is simple. Share real experiences, break things down clearly, and focus on helping with one solid takeaway.
 
The only problem is when Google ruins your plans, preventing you from growing as you think you deserve, or lowering your rankings for no reason at all, rewarding competitors with lower-quality content and inundated with invasive advertising.

I think people didn’t stop reading blogs—they stopped trusting them.
Once content feels automated or written to fill space, readers disengage instantly. When someone clearly answers one real question, even a short post feels refreshing again.

Blogging no longer attracts as much traffic as it used to; however, content about tips, tricks, and how-to guides is still very useful. Readers need accurate and clear information, focus on that.
 
is really dead, then no one can discuss it; it is really workable now, but it is a matter of some style being changed, but I hope real bloggers always find the core of the update and update themselves.
 
Blogs die from being generic, not from lack of SEO

Real voice + clear opinions still cut through the noise.

exactly, soulless content is what is dead.
add your real voice to the article you are publishing, show google that you have something which others don't.

A perfectly polished, AI-heavy post that sounds like every other site? Invisible. One authentic, punchy 800-word post that actually helps someone? Shares, comments, and repeat visitors. Blogging isn’t dead, it’s just allergic to vanilla.
 
I agree. Most blogs fail because they sound generic. When you write clearly and actually help with one real problem, it works. Short and honest often does better than long and boring. Blogging still works, just not the lazy way.

Agreed. Also one thing to note is that if you use AI to write your articles you're doing it wrong. You should ALWAYS humanize the AI content and rewrite it so that Google see it as authentic and you don't loose your websites's rankings. Straight AI content will rank you; however, it will not keep you on the same rank. Humanizing the AI content therefore, is a one way street.
