Blogging is officially dead now

I don't know about death but I surely can see that it is about 80-90% down from what it used to be a few years ago.

While blogging is not dead, certain types of blogs are no longer popular. With rising competition from other blogs, social networks, and video sites, several types of blogs are struggling and disappearing.
Blogs are not an ideal place to discuss facts about your personal life with friends.

Do individual bloggers even have chance at it ? I see search engine results on first page being dominated by big companies and news websites.

Only if you have a website with an excellent backlink profile and active content creation that covers a lot of low competitive topics. Otherwise, you don't.

Blogs that focus on small niches will probably always have a place on the Internet and an audience. Whether they will still be able to earn serious money is questionable.

There had been many threads like this but still so many bloggers here buying seo services. Why will anyone spend money on blogs if blogging is already dead?

I agree and disagree with you at the same time, as a "successful" blog can be run by an average blogger, but with a decent experience in writing good text and working with content in general. Definitely, in order to compete with big corporations, he will incur multiple expenses not only financially, but also emotionally. No one is stopping a blogger from using AI while big corporations hire 5-10 or more professional content writers and refuse to use AI.

There are upsides everywhere, definitely.

I don't agree that blogging is dead, there is more competition, many average bloggers still find success in this landscape. With the right strategies, dedication, and quality content, individuals and small businesses can still produce in the blogging world. It's not just for big companies or entrepreneurs, many people continue to build successful blogs with minimal expenses.

Ah, thanks for spreading the word that blogging is dead. Love to hear it. Less competition for those who make a living off it.

Everything is alive.

There had been countless threads on this topic and yet every year there are reports of top blogers who warned in millions in that year.

IMO blogging will never die as long as the internet is a thing...

Did books die when blogs became a thing? or youtube or whatever? It surely may be affected a bit but no its not dead.

Books are a dying industry. Do some research about it and you will understand.
