I guess you might blogger stats to be higher as compared to adsense, the possible reasons are
1.Bot Traffic : Your blog will be visited by search engine bots, which will be counted as traffic by traffic tracking tools but adsense ignores all sort of bot traffic.
2.Ad Block: There might be a case where in your visitor have enabled adblock on their browsers to block ads.

The above analysis is generic in nature, exact cause can be concluded on the having a look at the traffic.

Yea, I also agree that some of the traffic that were taken into consideration would be bot traffic. Not just only Google bot, but Yahoo, Bing, Alexa, traffic stat bot, dogpile (search engine), Ask, etc, there are simply so many services out there that crawls your website.
The traffic that Adsense takes into consideration would deduct those traffic accordingly - not all, but most of the bot hits, and it can provide you with a general overview on your overall 'real' traffic by people.
