I´ve been blocking inactive users for improving my engagement, but I noticed that blocking makes decrease the number of followers. It´s hard because a lot of people and announcers pay attention to numbers.

A lot of people will pay attention to numbers, but engagement and comments are where you will seal the deal. At this point it is up to you to show them why engagement matters if they do not see it. People will always be drawn to large accounts because people like to have the biggest and the best of everything. However, that is not always the best way, usually not the best way to remain competitive. If you have a stellar engagement and you are able to keep it up while goring slowly but steadily, you will do fine.

It also depends on your niche, if you are in a serious business ( not a Meme page ) you will be fine with a good engagement. If you can do both you will be extremely well off. Engagement and size are opposites, the larger your audience the smaller % that engage with you. Businesses usually know this and account for it as 4% of 2 million is larger than 30% of 50 thousand.
