Blacklisted/Sandboxed websites causing rankings to decrease

Hello everyone,

I am fairly new here to BHW and I have a simple question. We show up before a competitor and we know they play dirty. If a competitor of ours was ranking lower in the SERPs before us, what would stop them from posting our website link to "blacklisted" or "sandboxed" websites? Can they do this? And if they can, will it hurt us? And how do we find these "blacklisted" or "sandboxed" websites to see if our links our on there?

Any help is greatly appreciated and I look forward to getting this cleared up.

Thanks

you cant stop them from doing stuff like that, just focus on your website and build good quality links from trusted sources. If google trusts your site any efforts by others to hurt your site should fail.
That being said i don't think having a link on a site that is "sandboxed" will hurt you anyway, i wouldn't have thought it would have a good or bad effect.
