Depends how you define well written. You can get an "excellent" level article written on Textbroker for $5.5 for 250 words...

The competition in the article writing world is brutal. Be prepared to work for peanuts unless you are top notch and can get people to appreciate the extra benefits of paying you more than the average guy for the articles.

Yea, its definitely a tough market and a hard way to make money IMO... I have a guy that does a pretty darn good job for $3 an article! He's overseas and I bring him a lot of business... I guess it works out for him!

Seriously, there is 1000's over at fiverr who does a great job.. Why even bother?

To hit your way into the article market you have to be unique, write a 1500 word article which pass copyscape for 10 bucks and you're in the game.

I would say to try as many different freelancers possible for a few days and then move forward.
