bit.ly for hiding the referrer

it's only a 301 redirect! bit.ly don't hide the ref!!!
try to put a bit.ly on facebook -> you can see the landing page

This didnt make any difference for me. I unticked the box and added a + at the end of the link and it still revealed referrer.

Is it just me or is the referer.us captcha completely down? I swear its been down for over a month, adn even if I enter the right one, it says the captcha is wrong.

I use this process :

• CPA Aff Link > Referer.us > ANY SHORTENER > Bit.ly

Oh man ! That's a nasty NASTY captcha !

BTW, I will never use bit.ly again and here is why. I have this video on youtube with a b**.ly link that goes directly to a dating landing page. I only shortned my aff link ONCE with bi**ly and the offer is from a reputable CPA network but when the link is clicked this page pops up instead of the LP. And this happened with a lot of my links ...




It may be that bit**y percepted my aff link as a shortened one but anyway

I found out about this 2 month ago and I had a lot of work to do to change my links to another shrinker. And I suggest you guys to check your links too or ask some friends to click on your links and see what happens because this is a HUGE loss of traffic to your offers/sites/whatever.

Just use another URL shortener before Bit.ly.
It's what I do and it works perfectly.

-add cpa referrer 2 as a plugin on your wordpress or stand a lone to your website (look for the thread to find more info on it and how to set it up)

-set your referrer link on a POST from your wordpress XXX.domain.com/post/?mn=1234567


-put that link into bitly to shorten it.

When people click on your bitly link, it will redirect to your referrer page but from the referrer's point of view, it looks like the visitor came from your post

It doesn't even hide the referrer. lol

CPA Aff Link => Referer.us => Another Shortener => Bit.ly

Buy a domain, install wordpress on it and upload quick 301 redirect plugin.

You are going to be doing a double meta refresh using this plugin..You create one post that redirects to another post, that redirects to your cpa offer using the meta refresh option.

It's not hard to see what I'm talking about once you've install it and you looking at it first hand. Oh and use the short URL that your wordpress install offers after publishing your post for marketing. I hope this helps some people

Hi, one trick is to write some javascript that posts a form to another page (with all values in the querystring) and then on the page where you post to either do a javascript document.location or meta refresh; it does not matter. The key point is that you are doing a double redirect within the same site so even if the referer leaks for one page it will still come from your website.

To those people who constantly blank a referer let me ask you this: If you were a Affiliate Manager and you had a affiliate with an abnormally high CTR (What do you mean you are not displaying banners!) and NO referer who was converting extremely high would you take a look at their account? Of course you would.

When doing blackhat *you must stay under the radar, raise no red flags and blend in with the masses* if you want to keep your accounts alive.

Sure some networks don't give a $hit but there is a heck of alot who do.

For the sake of a couple of lines of code you *can* cover your tracks and limit the chances of getting banned
