does a bit.ly a safe way to hide the referrer
I use it and it works fine.
the problem with the site you mentioned is that it is filtred by email spam filters
but I think if someone click on a bit.ly link the refferer will be bit.ly is it?
I think it doesn't it only changes the refferrer to bit.ly but the cpa companies see where your traffic is coming from, you should use
something like that
Don't forget to set your link history to private in the account settings page. It's public by default and your CPA network could just put a "+" at the end of your link and see your traffic sources.
If you use Bit.ly to shorten your url(s), your referrer will be
ofcourse it doesn't hide it completely...infact, If i want to see it then I simple go to checkshorturl(dot)com and paste your bit. ly link and find what's goin on
He asks for the referrer. with checkshorturl you can see the redirect before you enter the uri in your browser, but the referrer will not shown with this.
No, bit.ly leaves the referrer intact. Try this link for instance (the referrer will probably show as blackhatword or anonym.to)
PS: use this to hide your referrer
IT DOESNT HIDE THE REFER!
use this and cover the link with bit.ly or what every you like... wtb brain.exe
thanks man, I was looking for this
if you add "+" at the end of a bit.ly url you will see the sources of traffic, country's etc
if you bring traffic from youtube for example...there you will see youtube as main referrer
hope this helps
PS : this is good if you want to spy on competitors
Where can I find this settings? I just found settings for twitter, tracking domain and so on ?
Edit: Found it! Just remove the cross from "Make bit.ly History Public". Thanks, infTee.
bit.ly is only good for shortening the link and not at all good for masking the referral's id/name.
referer.us is good but I hate captchas. Look at that
Crazy... sometimes it's near impossible for a human to read it.
You would only need to use the left string to solve that captcha ...
For thoose who don't know recaptcha has 2 words always but you only need to write one (they look like the one in the left of the picture but can be in either side) . the other word... is failed ocr from scanned books
bit.ly doesnt hide referer, you will have referer from bit.ly if you click link on bit.ly stats page only
Separate names with a comma.
