Hi everybody, this is my first post on the forum, so I apologize in advance if I say or do anything wrong!

I started a Hip-Hop music website back in June of this year, and I'm looking for not only some tips, but some direction as well. I've done a little research on SEO, and on keyword research but I don't really understand the concept of it. My other problem is i'm only making about 1 cent off the website a day according to Google Adsense. My goal is to make $1 a day, take that formula and make about 50 more websites and hopefully I can at least make a part time job out of it. I do understand that entertainment is one of the worst paying websites, but I also understand that the ones at the top did start at the bottom at one time and probably faced the same adversity.


So what are the best tips for blogging? Is buying advertising necessary, and what is the best advertiser? Just try to throw as many tips at me as possible!

Please someone help me out. I'm not asking for step by step directions, just some tips to get started.
 
if you dont understand with SEO try with social media, put your site with article and share to your social media acc. and tell your friend to share it.
 
Well I understand it a little bit, but I need to learn a little more about it.

I've shared it with my friends, it's just much harder than I thought to get some new likes on the page. But I'll be patient and keep trying everything I can!
 
Lots to start with. I honestly would make you approach to make less sites with more money. The reason being the management of 50 websites would be more than a FULL time job to keep track of. Keep it simple.
 
Haha I'd love to do that, but I can't seem to make even a dollar off a site. :(
 
There's a lot of information available here on BHW regarding SEO. Read the and apply the same. A lot of people are selling quality SEO service on bhw marketplace. If you have a good budget invest the same to rank your site to go long term rather than advertising your site !
 
Thanks for the feedback. I've been doing my best lately to look into everything and try to absorb everything I can. As for my Hip-Hop website. It's still not doing that good. I'm not going to give up on it but I started another website that is doing a little better. The new website made $0.25 in the first like 6 hours with just a couple links I put out.
 
Find a quality service in the market place and start yours with good ranking
 
I'd definitely start by narrowing down to just a couple websites. Trying to juggle 50 sites will not give you a chance to really focus on any of them.
 
Need to invest to make money.
Improve the site you have, you can get subscriptions to newsletters, blog articles that add value for the reader. Have links to your site.
Anything that gets clicked adds to your rank.
Set up facebook group pages, throw in a few profiles of big breasted woman, it's hip hop so shouldn't be an issue.
check on your competition, see how they market, what draws your eye ( big breasts? )
The more time you throw into it at the beginning the better the rewards.
Even some basic give aways for Facebook likes was how I started years ago.
 
You shouldn't be planning on earning $1 a day with 50 websites, you can easily make $50 a day with one website, and it will be far more stable. Start with getting good quality content, advertise manually in social media, read up about SEO & backlinks, and you will eventually get there. You should scrap the idea of making 50 websites, that's just way too much trouble.
 
you can read different posts in BHW forum regarding the SEO tips and new techniques. if you are not using SEO simple try to share your content and videos on social media like Facebook, Twitter or Dailymotion with the link of your site. traffic on your site may give you some earning.
 
i run a music blog that gets about 3 to 4,000 visitors per day. PM me with your url and i'll take a look. Off the top of my head have you done social media, like build a facebook page and twitter
 
Well idea seem to be really effective with earning point of view, but i think it's hard to focus on 50 websites at the same time. I usually make one website and put my all efforts on it to enjoy good earning

As far as SEO is concerned, organic traffic is obtained from the search engine. Keyword research is the first step, and the best way to rank websites on page 1.

You have to promote your site at social media and other sites which can help you in promoting sites. You can get more traffic on your blogs by writing an interesting discussion. You have to work hard for your site.
 
Add lots of good content to your blog. Make it interesting and then promote it on social sites like Twitter and facebook.
 
Having 50 websites is a really bad idea to start with, especially if you're planning to monetize with AdSense. You'll lose track of everything and get lazy really fast if you try to update 50 web sites. Instead, you should put the time into making one quality website, and then thinking of ways to monetize it. AdSense isn't the best way to monetize a website most of the time, so if you are serious about this, you should do research about other ways to monetize. Once you estabilished a quality website, you can expand slowly from there.
 
Who told you that entertainment is one of the worst paying industries/niches for websites?!?!

Last time I checked entertainment was one of the.. if not the most profitable if done right
