Good morning;
I'm new here, I've taken a look and have not found this discussed, I apologize if it has been and I just didn't find it.
I have a number of keyword rich domains that I want to all send traffic back to one main site, here is a fictitious example of what I mean, the main site is cars com, I also own related domains - (again fictitious examples) fastcars com, new cars com, oldcars com. These domains are keyword rich, with a minimum of 5,000 Exact Match results per month per domain. Note: These domains are all very much related to the sites contents and are not spammy.
It seems the standard advice is to 301 redirect those to the main domain. However, I am wondering if it would make more sense to setup a small page with some content on it, then send the people to the main site? Or I could have the domain 301 redirect to a internal page on the main site that at least has the domains keywords in the title.
Any suggestions as to the best way to approach this?
Thanks
Jamie
