hello bhw members, I'm trying to drive trafffic from pinterest to my website and I'm interested what is best time to pin to pinterest?
I already googled it and almost everywhere it says between 8 pm and 01 am. But what time zone? My is CET and most of my followers are from USA ( at least I think so :) maybe they're pretending just like I do :) )
So if you are from Central Europe and have USA pinterest followers what is the best time(CET) to pin? Thnx

I would say it depends on the timezone of your audience. But probably the best thing is to try at different times / days and see what kind of results you get (test with similar content and do multiple tests before you make conclusions). I would predict that people go to Pinterest mostly in late hours (after work).

There was a SEOMOZ article that was published about a year ago. The author monitored his Pinterest traffic and it peak at 5-7am Eastern Standard Time and again at 5-7pm Eastern Standard time. The explanation was that Pinterest users check their boards in the morning before they go to work and then they check it and pin when they get home. I would post the link but I can't due to account age. It is titled "Going Viral on Pinterest: Driving Big Traffic and Making Pinterest a Real Marketing Solution" on the SEOMOZ blog.

Is you read it was 8pm-1am it is most likely for EST. Just google what that is in CET.

I had good results between 6 pm and 8 pm ;)

You should rrun some tests. As far as I know 9-11 a.m and 2-6 p.m in every timezone drive people to browse more.

I wonder if this is similar for Instagram

It could very well be the same during the workweek as most people tend to browse the internet before or after work. You might also see a bump near lunch time 11:00 am to 1:00pm. I know in the offices that I've worked in a lot of people browse pages during lunch. Yesterday my pinterest related traffic peaked at around 6pm EST. I pinned a couple of pins around 3:30pm and got a load of repins and clickthroughs as people arrived home from work.

Depending on where most of your target audience or followers are located, you should post to Pinterest 'in the evenings'. Now you can calculate according to the timezone when it's evening in your target country and you can start to post during that time. Every social platform has its best days and times to post. Pinterest is different too.

Thanks.
