If you don't have antivirus - install it and check your system. Pick any like avast or avg.
Use programs like CCleaner to remove temporally files, useless backups, startup and fix registry.
And try to find reason for slowing. Might happen that you have not enough RAM and several hundred opened tabs in your browsers.

It will fix your problem for slow down or hanging factor.

always the best solution would be to format and start fresh, other than that have Kaspersky and CCleaner.

i have 8gb ram and i have windows essential antivirus
but i think my windows have some files which is corrupt there mush be some software whihc can fix it ccleaner cant do it
