Best Shopping Cart Platform??

Don't get it. how can anyone suggest any other platform where as Magento is still present????

I use Prestashop for more than 2 years and happy with stability. But (just my opinion) it's little bit slow maybe because of their smarty system. Now I change to wp store.
Take a look at this stats, left side when my site using prestashop and right side when using wordpress. This show you that wordpress shop is more SEO friendly and bring more visitor to your shop.
but, backoffice for prestashop much much better than wp store.

If I get a credit card merchant from my bank, is it easy to integrate it into OpenCart?
There is no ideal solution and it completely depends on how many products you sell and what kind of products you sell. Magento is a top notch for ecommerce, but keep in mind that you will have very steep learning curve. It is very complex solution. Also keep in mind, if you want to customize magento modules are quite expensive. If you sell some simple products with under 100 products total, you might want to go for opencart. It is very light and simple solution to get your products online. There are plenty more solutions, but those 2 are my favorite.

I prefer Magento.
