Best SEO practices for Yoast and Wordpress?

Hey guys,

I wanted to know what are the best SEO practices for Yoast and Wordpress. For example, urls should be category/blogpost-name or just /blogpost-name

Most people use xxxx.com/post-name format, so you can choose this permlink format on the dashboard of your wordpress.

WP beginner site has a ton of tutorials, very useful, check more step by step guides there. It got a yoast seo plugin article.
 
I also prefer shorter urls, not a big fan of /category or /tag (and then post) urls. Unless you have a TON of content on your sites with thousands of articles it's better to keep it short and sweet.

I think I will go with subcategory/post-name because I am planning to have a TON of content :D
 
Also how to have breadcumbs shown instead of urls in the SERP?
 
Also, is keyword accumulative? Let's say there's 2 keywords, photos and beautiful (both being different keywords) will using beautiful photos as keyword target three variations as: photos, beautiful and beautiful photos?

Want to practice in wordpress read the yoast seo plugin Guid in wich you learn everything about Yoast seo and permalink and other tags and categoty and other details
 
Keep URLs short, simple and relevant

Can be, but IMO, it's always better to use long-tail keywords. -Micah

Look at what the someone in the top ten with less than ten backlinks is doing.
