Best onpage optimization?

I am starting to set up a couple new sites and I was curious what kind of onpage optimization is most effective. Specifically keyword density and how to work in your keywords and still have a good flow. How well does it work in to SEO overall?

it jus makes it so that your page is related to what keyword you are trying to rank for.

make sure keywords are in content. just write with using different variations of your keyword.

to even get your page ranked you want to do on-page optimization first and then start backlinking your pages.

After keyword research, Use WebCEO to see if you are set up appropriately with the onpage stuff before building links. WebCEO is free, so have fun with it. It tells you the densities and ratios of everything and tells you specifically what you need to fix for that keyword you want to rank good for.

I will take a look there.

One thing I think is the most difficult to work is the OFF page optimization ... like to get BACKLINKS that your competitors already uses. Because in the most of the cases.. they are partners... so it is difficult to get links from some domains.

Sometimes that may be true about the partnership, but I think most of the time it isn't the case. Just use a backlink checker to see where your competetors page is getting it's backlinks from. Go to those same sites and see if there is a place you can get a backlink from as well. Also once you see where their backlinks are coming from you can even search for better sites than they are using.

Just do a search for backlink checker to find good tools to help you out.

In my competitor's case corpoperfeito com br , Using Spy Glass software (free edition) and using Yahoo search (I could not use Google Br because it is a free edition) I received this information from my competitor:

1607 backlinks were found but your Free license allows you to see only 1100 of them.

Using Samurai (when it was working... test edition) I could see much more sublinks to my competitor's website. I think they use Yahoo directory to see it, it is more complete than Google.

You can see image in Attachment.. with a litle number of links.


For what I could study.. the biggest part of the SUBLINKS they have comes from its AFFILIATES PROGRAM. They pay comission like Amazon and others companies for refer to its website. For this reason I can see a lot of sublinks to them. Most of them in Brazil websites (language portuguese)... but some of these websites are not very good.. are blogs and others that have no traffic, but has its link inside them.

When I talked about PARTNERSHIP... I'd like to say that in some cases.. the BEST DOMAINS you will not have a way to insert a link. Maybe because they are not foruns and you can not create a profile.. maybe because they will not have more space for the same kind of company.

Let's get an example:

Keywords: suplemento alimentar and suplementos alimentares

Let's use: LinkAssistant (from Spy Glass) to get better links to these 2 keywords.

IN ATTACHMENT ANOTHER IMAGE TO SHOW BEST PR RESULTS.

The biggest part of these domains are from big companies which has no ADs or links inside their websites. Some of them are from my own competitors.

So.. in this case: HOW TO GET "GOOD SUBLINKS"?

Another strategy can be: create a lot of blogs calling about something and refer our website with a link or image.


One doubt I have is: CAN I SUBMIT in the best web directories like Dmoz and others.. PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE articles or just in english?

Well you've pretty much answered your own question. It is hard to get listed on some pages, so just do the best you can. Try to get listed on some of the same pages if possible, or on similar ones. Also try to get listed on either more similar ones, more high PR ones, or both.

Creating the blogs is a good idea as well.

As far as DMOZ is concerned, I don't have an answer for you. I do know that sometimes it can be difficult to get a listing in DMOZ. Someone else with more experience maybe can answer that for you.

The main thing to keep in mind is that it may seem like no matter what your doing, you can't get ahead of your competitor, but if you just contimue working at it you eventually will. Somewhere along the way, you will exceed what they're doing and then the scale will tip in your favor.

Another thing to remember is that even if you aren't #1 in the SERP, if you have a good title and summary description then your listing could still get more clicks than the #1 listing. That's why it's a good idea to optimize your title metatag and description metatag with the human visitor in mind.

ABOUT THE LANGUAGE DOUBT:

Can I submit articles in French, German, Spanish, or other languages? No, sorry. The article directories are all in English, so they wouldn't accept your articles anyway.

This I got from a website that sell a software to submit articles. So.. for me It will be more difficult than for you. I will not have much directories to post in my language. THIS IS BAD.

Some people here and in others forum sell services of submiting links. But.. everytime is in ENGLISH domains....
I don't know.. but I think this will not count very much for Google in Brazil.

To answer your DMOZ question, there is a "world" directory with subcategories for sites in other languages. Listing on dmoz is not the same as other directories, they are very strict and if you keyword stuff your listing submission it will be denied.

Keeping a keyword density of 3-4 percent has worked for me so far. Focus on the content it should be as real and equally related as possible.

See what your competitors have done and try to get the better of them but make sure that you do not copy them.
