I don't know about any leak sites, but music album release date plays a major role here. If you know the exact release date and if you do a Google search on the release date, something like <album name> download, you will find the music album as well as the ACTIVE leak sites.
http://forum.soundarea.org/ has a '0-Day Music' section, which is truly incredible, but you need to pay to have a download link (You can look at the names, but you can't download them.) Luckily, if you take the exact name of the song and search it on Google, you should have some other sites offering free download links without registration or anything (about 10 most of the time when you search on the exact same day it was release)
http://what.cd/ is also a good one, but you need an invitation to get in the site (and they are kind of rare, not impossible to get, but rare)

I usually download from Aimini.net for single songs, but you can always find torrents and album RARs on torrent/warez sites. The Pirate Bay of course. Also check out warez-bb.org. A lot of times a Google search will get you the downloads you need...just "artist name album name download." A lot of the downloads will have been taken down, but if you keep looking, you will eventually find some live downloads.

What.cd is a torrent site wherein you've maintain a ratio and lot of people complain its really tough to maintain a ratio there.
I know that, but it's still a great place.
You can also try to pass their test to get in, I tried once and failed, but you can always try.

Well its not just about getting in if you cant maintain a ratio. I've heard from a lot of people that if you dont have a seedbox, its really a PIYA to maintain a ratio.

For the ".binaries" groups (where all the good stuff is) it is probably easiest to subscribe to a premium service, although some ISP's provide usenet access free.
I use Giganews with Newsbin, but if this is your first time ever messing with the usenet, Easynews has a web interface!

Well yes you can get into trouble and get your YT account deleted if you don't know what your doing I have been in the IM game for a while and have perfected my techniques haven't been flagged on youtube in a longggg time, Just search around and find the best methods,even search on BHW I am sure you will find something
